Was just thinking the same. Oh wait, we got one I think...

Man, if only Helm could finish all the great chances he gets.

Sure am. i had to get tickets off stubhub, since the ACC is sold out for the next 5 years, they were close to $200 each after "fees", AND we were almost in nosebleeds, but you can see pretty well from wherever you are at the ACC, so it was'nt so bad. Would'nt pay that much again though, rather go to Ottawa or something. Wings lost the game I went to as well. lol

Same here. Just one usher saw my jersey and said "uh oh", but with a smile. All was good.

So Nick Foligno is one of the team captains??? lol WTF? Only reason I can remotely see that being justified is because the game is Columbus. Is'nt Johansson in there as well? You'd think if it had to be a player from the BJs it would be him as captain. One side you have Toews, then...Foligno. mannnn.

Brodeur retires. Named Sr. Advisor to Blues GM
chaps80 replied to historywillbemade's topic in General
He def will be remembered for his great career with the Devils and in International play, and I agree its his life and he can do what he wants. I dunno though, it just seems sad when great players past their prime try to hang on. When the team you've spent your entire career with, won three cups with, etc. does'nt want you any longer, it's really time to evaluate things. I know he still wants to play, but he won't really get to. He'll spend most of his time on the bench or in the press box. Thats no place for a guy like him. Again though, his career, his choice. Just would seem better to me if he retired instead of putting up with the clusterf*** hes in with the Blues. -

With Holland still being around for years, those guys will be working at Burger King before then. -
And an Oiler. and a Leaf, and a Flame, and a Coyote. For a goalie of his calibre, he sure moved around alot. He retired a Leaf though, which was fitting.

Could the Wings be better off trading Pav & Hank for draft picks?
chaps80 replied to pondrocket's topic in General
Hank is signed until he's retirement age, and the captain of the team and currently the teams point leader. Datsyuk is still one hell of a player as well. No go. Would never happen anyways, as others have pointed out, upper management are very loyal to players in Detroit, sometimes TO loyal, as we see with Cleary and other players such as Chelios in the past. This isn't San Jose. -
LOL@ Cheveldae jumping in when Probert was being double teamed. Good old days for sure. As for this thread, LGW!! Good test for the team tonight. Mrazek will see alot of good shooters.

Howard on Sportsnet's list of seven Vezina finalists at halfway po

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/vezina-trophy-candidates-at-the-halfway-point/ Jimmy Howard — 16 wins, 2.08 GAA, .921 SP, 2 SO Don’t let the low win total fool you — the Red Wing has the stats to back up the fact that he’s been one of the top goaltenders in the league so far this season. What "low" win total? Four of the seven goalies mentioned have 16 wins or less. haha -

He should just retire. I agree he is just tarnishing his legacy. What more does he have to do or prove? Nothing whatsoever. Agreed. Agreed. Agreed. -

Petry next Oiler to be shopped - FTLOG Kenny, get it done!
chaps80 replied to daniel1's topic in General
Kenny does'nt trade unless he can pay too much for a s***ty rental. We'll never see Petry here. -
Win. Wins are good.

Pulks has one hell of a shot.

Did'nt know that either, but back then no one really knew what Dom was capable of. He was drafted in 1983. It took him almost ten years to start playing with Chicago. Late bloomer. But ya, if he'd been picked up, who knows what his career would have been like...
