    You see how Koskinen uses his height to his advantage, drops to his knees to move laterally? That's something Bishop does, and Coreau SHOULD have learned to do. Instead he flopped around on the ice.

    Another Bishop. Not that great, but covers a ton of net and his head is over the crossbar when he's on his knees. I dunno how Coreau couldn't make that work... Just checked that contract.. $4.5 million per for three years. lol At least Talbot's deal is up after this season. He's sucked this year. Wasn't great last year either.

    Petterson was indeed a steal at 5th. The only player producing close to him out of the top 5 in '17 is Hischier. Actually, he's only 8 points away from Hischier's 82 game 17-18 season total with 39 GP. This season they aren't even close.

    Had the Wings not taken him at 6, he would have been snagged at 7. lol He will be fine. Not every top ten pick is an immediate first or second year NHLer that produces at an elite level. Hell, not every pick in the top 5 is like that.

    2016-17 he looked great though. Reminded me of having Hossa around again, the way he'd just make shootout goals look effortless picking corners from over the blue line. He is getting up there though, getting rough. He signed for one year with an NTC on a team not expected to make the playoffs (and won't) where he isn't expected to be more than a secondary scorer. Easy $3 million.

    He may be, or just doesn't care anymore. I'm surprised he didn't retire after ending up in Florida at the 2017 deadline. He made over $10 million that season with his $7.5 million buyout from Minny and $2.6 million Detroit deal.

    Which just shows how much natural talent he has, when he can look lazy and lost yet still end up with points. Imagine if he gave his all every shift? AA deserves ice time over any vets. He's part of the future of this team. Vanek is not.
