    Sergei Bobrovsky

http://www.sportingnews.com/us/nhl/news/columbus-blue-jackets-sergei-bobrovsky-nashville-predators-internal-matter-incident-nhl-news/1sbe20q8kcla11xsd8ewssyk8p Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, who GM Jarmo Kekalainen said wasn't available for Thursday's game against the Predators due to an "internal matter," said Friday that Tuesday's loss to the Lightning triggered the incident that led to his sitting out Columbus' next game. “Tuesday night against Tampa was a tough loss for everybody, so … it was emotional. We might play them in the playoffs. I let my emotions get to me when I shouldn’t,” Bobrovsky told reporters in what The Athletic described as a statement. “We had a meeting with the team. I’ve been always … I pride myself to be a good teammate all the time, wherever I’ve played and whomever I’ve played. I addressed that to the team. It is what it is. What has happened has happened. We cleaned the air and we’re ready to move on." Kekalainen said on Thursday that "an incident occurred" in which the 30-year-old goaltender failed to meet the team's expectations, though details of the incident are unclear. Bobrovsky was pulled during Columbus' 4-0 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday, and he had an exchange with coach John Tortorella before exiting. Tortorella refused on Friday to talk about Bobrovsky Bobrovsky said he has no issues with the fiery Tortorella and when asked if he planned to finish the season with the Blue Jackets, Bobrovsky said: "I am here, and I will play here. I will do my best as I have done for this team, for this organization, for these fans, for this city. I’ve been working hard, and I will continue to do that.” Kekalainen on Thursday said the goalie failed to meet team expectations. "There are certain expectations and values that we have established for our players that define our culture," Kekalainen said Thursday in a press release. "An incident occurred in which Sergei failed to meet those expectations and values, so we made the decision that he would not be with the team for tonight's game." "This is an internal matter and we will have no further comment at this time." Sounds like he was just acting like a goalie to me....

Rick Nash retires -- concussions just too much

Very well could be. He probably COULD have, but i'm sure he wanted $6 million a season.

    Vote for Larkin!!

  4. Bernier ******* sucks. Trade him to Philly. For whatever.
  5. Oh yeah, straight up burn. lol awesome. So glad the Wings didn't give up on AA, they gave him the time to develop, and he's rewarding them. He can't, if the Wings win the lottery. First is first. Every team has reps there to make sure it's done fairly. The NHL can't cheat us out of a first if the number comes up. No worries.
  6. Such is this season. Won't win em all, and the Wings are doing much better than i expected after the dismal start to the season. Def not a laughing stock.
  7. s***ty buzz. Ahh well, AA's two were snipes. That first one, Niemi didn't even flinch. lol

    The Elite Dylan Larkin

He is awesome. When is Larkin going to get the C? I feel it's heading his way anyways, why wait?
  11. Larkin's OT goal was ******* unreal. That's how you work. That was ALL him.
  12. Third line is the LLN line. Long Last Names.

    World Juniors

Canada blew it. Funny thing for me is Finland's goalie is also the starter for the Sudbury Wolves. He owes us a Memorial Cup now..DAMN YOUUUU. Nah, WJC is overf***ingrated, good job kid.
  14. Finishing last guarantees no worse than 4th overall in the lottery. So not guaranteed the first, but reps from each team are there to watch the lottery, so the league can't rig it at all. If the Wings get drawn first, first is theirs. Hell, they let Edmonton have four firsts in what? six years? They didn't want that i'm sure, but that's the lottery.

Which Goalie Will Have The Better Season?

Bernier was my hopeful pick since he's around for three years. Oh well, Jonny.

Which Goalie Will Have The Better Season?

    Congrats to him.
  18. His career numbers are solid overall, but he's not a big game goalie. Has a habit of allowing what we just saw happen, to happen. He'll work in a pinch but not someone you want as your best option.
  19. Indeed. Probably still is. Even his attitude couldn't save Scott Darling's job though. lol
  20. Not as good. Their overloaded up front, D is half assed. They need a guy like Andersen. I would have kept MCIllenney over Sparks, but they had to choose and Mac isn't getting any younger.
  21. Didn't see it. Mrazek has better numbers than Bernier this season though. Wings may as well have kept him. I did expect better out of him...
  22. And that's why Bernier is no longer a Leaf. He was sort of part of the Andersen trade in two separate deals. Detroit is his third team in three seasons. And they have him locked up for two more!!
