Ryan is a madman! Off Murrays back and on top the net. They need to bury chances soon though, too many missed ones. ANDERSON!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2017 ECF: OTTAWA SENATORS VS. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

I don't get why people think they're where they shouldn't be. They won all the games to get there against some good teams, and are even in Game 7 after two periods against a supposed better Pens team. They're depleted on D, but that's making this thing fair, and teams take advantage of injured rosters all the time. Anderson is in the zone, equalling or even bettering the Pens goalies. He's much better than many give him credit for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New signing

Hahaha it's sad but true. Honestly, little Illitch needs to man up after taking over daddy's team and give Holland a timeline to turn his s*** around. Not just say, Holland is gonna do what he'll do, and Blashill's future is up to him. This lazy, laying low approach obviously isn't working. Holland is not "smart" or "sneaky", he's in over his head in the new NHL. He's gotten too comfortable in the GM chair. Illitch needs to go kick the back of that chair and tell him to get off his ass. New signing

Toronto really is turning things around quick, and they keep making solid low risk moves that pay off, as well as making the very best of their higher first round picks with Matthews, Nylander, and Marner. Even Kadri, who was looking like a bust, has finally stepped up. They have a solid starting goalie that can handle a big workload for the first time since Belfour. Once they solidify that defence, they'll be scary. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He needs to use that size to his advantage, and the best way to do that is to think simple. Don't try to be so "athletic". Relax, stand up, cut down your angles, hit the ice when needed. Keep as much of your body in front of the net as you can. From his play in Detroit, he wasn't doing that much. Face down on the ice was common. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If he's cheap, why not? Like Ott and Vanek last year. Speaking of Vanek, wonder what his plans are? Would be nice to get him back, and he liked Detroit. Probably wants in the $5 million range again though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bishop signs 6 year $29.5 million deal with Dallas

Yeah. But it wasn't that bad. Howard has a long injury history, and Mrazek is young and trying to find the consistency that can get him to that elite level he has the talent to get to. It's a low time for the franchise, and there's time to get that stuff figured out I think. Maybe after this season they'll have a better idea how to proceed in net, whether Mrazek is worth the time, or to just go with the veteran option in Howard. It would really suck if Mrazek was moved and he became a top 5 guy elsewhere. I've read some articles where they thought having Howard around might just be too big a distraction for him, and Howard should be moved to give him time to settle in without worrying about competition. Hopefully Salajko can get him going again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2017 ECF: OTTAWA SENATORS VS. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Game 7 should be one hell of a battle. Karlsson and Anderson have to be in beast mode. I think Anderson got in their heads last game. Long as they can stop the Pens offence, they should find a way to win another close one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Steve Ott, Blues Assistant Coach

That's cool. St. Louis takes care of their former players. Brodeur, now Ott. I thought he'd play another couple seasons though. Maybe playing in Detroit (which was his dream, but he didn't come at the right time), and then making it nowhere in the playoffs with Montreal was the nail in the coffin. Niemi is gone for sure I think, even if Lehtonen gets claimed. Nill probably wants to distance himself from that mess after getting Bishop. Could see him buying out Niemi and using some of the savings on a cheap journeyman backup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Get Moulson. Then we have two of Tavares NYI bros. Could influence him to come to Detroit. He says he loves it where he is, but since he's been on the team, they haven't surrounded him with enough players that can help make a good run at a Cup. He may want out. They've made the playoffs what, twice? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Younger Hartnell, hell yes. 40 year old Hartnell, not unless he's DIRT cheap. Pretty sure the Kings said they had ko intentions of buying out Gaborik either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Shattenkirk

Fowler would be the better choice to wait for. But would Holland wait? He can open up a few million more in cap if he wants to hit the quick target in Shattenkirk. But given how Nielson worked out, has he learned that big lesson that easy isnt always the answer in the cap era? We'll see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Targets for the Wings

Not saying it's Green's fault that he has a much more offensive approach to the defensive position. That's how he was taught to play I'm guessing. He just doesn't fit on this current Wings team with the major black hole on defense. He's like Nielson. A complimentary piece to an already rock solid lineup to boost offence for a good playoff run. If the proper foundation isn't there, they don't produce, or their weaknesses are quickly exposed. Green will bring a great return at the deadline from a contender, and that's reason to protect him in the XDraft, but if he gets injured, that's not happening. If he's unprotected, does Vegas jump on him? Would he even want to stay there past next season, and would they chance wasting their Detroit pick on him?Questions. So many. I counted E as $5 million yes, because it's close to the same number as the other three pylons. Not getting technical over 750K.

He impresses? 6'6 and 215lb. Shouldn't be able to get much by that...

    Targets for the Wings

Green would be good on a pairing with a great stay at home Dman. But we don't have one. No one can cover his defensive brain farts, which the team cannot afford.

    Targets for the Wings

Offensively, light years. Defensively, which is what I mean by defence, not by much. He's not a top two-way guy like Rafalski and obv not Lidstrom.

Bishop signs 6 year $29.5 million deal with Dallas

Jimmy wasn't great in 2013/14 either. Guy is the number 1 goalie (sometimes), and hasn't played more than 60 games since 2011. Mr. Unreliable. The team is forced to carry two number 1 calibre goalies because of it. Mrazek has been up and down yes, but still has that ability to be an elite netminder. This season he must deliver on it though, and I'm sure he knows it. Not that it means Holland will give up on him.

    Targets for the Wings

Cause his defensive game is pretty bad for a guy who picked defence as his position. If he wanted to score goals he should have played wing.
