It's a year that was bound to come. Yzerman is only making small moves, using the season to evaluate. It sucks but it's necessary. And finishing last will finally get us into the top 4 and best odds for the draft. This team overachieved last year with the seasons Larkin, AA, Bert, and Mantha had, and they still had a clue how to play D along with a solid season from Howard. This year none of the young guys are doing anything crazy, the D is absolutely horrible, Howard is having his worst season..ever? Which means they are relying on Bernier, which is never good.

Would be cool, but i dunno if i want him to be part of this trainwreck yet.

Hell yeah, you gots it. Laughs fans are dumb anyways. None of the ones i know wanted Nylander moved for anything. Can't believe that little s*** made 10 million last year. Signing Tavares was stupid with the big money that was going to be handed out to Matthews and Marner too. He totally neglected the blueline and waived the one backup (McIllhenney) he had that could actually step in for Andersen, who they always burn out. Hutchinson with his 4.50 GAA isn't stepping in that's for sure. Eventually clued in and brought in Muzzin, Barrie, and Ceci, who with the exception of Muzzin, don't seem to be doing much anyways. Their whole blueline are UFAs in the offseason with the exception of Reilly. And Dermott (RFA). Clusterf***age.

I can't wait to watch this happen, cause it will. And Giggy carried that team on his back to the Finals. Unreal goaltending performance.

Exactly what i've been telling my buddies that are Laughs fans. This wasn't on Babs. There is no player accountability and leadership on that team, and they're soft. Matthews, Marner and Nylander seem entitled. They can score goals, doesn't mean anything if they don't step up and succeed in the playoffs. Nylander should have been traded for blueline help. Babs was hard on the team in Detroit too, but they still won plenty of games and went to two finals, winning one. Lidstrom, Zetterberg and Datsyuk led on the ice. The Laughs have no players like that. Tavares, maybe. If he can lead he better start. Either way, this season is their one shot at doing anything, cause they're gonna lose key guys in the offseason.

Whoops, After tonight... 3.74 GAA , .890 sv% Reimer shut us out?? Christ. Canes traded Darling for him, been a great move so far. He's complimented Mrazek well like McIllenney did last season. Damn, I didn't realize Florida bought Darling out and he is the backup on a team in Austria right now. What a fall.

I figure this year is just a write off. Yzerman is probably using it to evaluate just how much he needs to do to bring the team back to respectability, then he'll make a solid plan, some moves in the offseason, probably ditch any vets he can at the deadline too. Holland left him a complete disaster to clean up, but at least some of the overpaid guys are nearing the end. Daley, Errorson, Green, Howard are all UFAs after this season, Helm is after next. Unfortunately, Abby and Nielson still have a ways to go. I think Larkin, Mantha, AA and Bertuzzi know they're the present and future of the team, but they can only do so much. The rest of the team, with a few exceptions, is pretty useless. We have almost no D, more shots hit our goal than the oppositions during a PP. Jimmy is old and fat and Bernier has always sucked. Neither of them are stealing any games, least not very often. And above all, there are no true leaders left. Nah, Seider is gonna be real gud.
