  1. Agreed, and what a shutout it was. 42 saves. Nice to see him get one finally with the season he's had. Hopefully he can build off this and turn it around. Bout time Blash showed some faith in him and gave him the start tonight in t back to back.
  2. Come on boys minute left. No stupid mistakes.
  3. They just demonstrated greatness of the 30th ranked PP in the league right there. Can't get one more for Mrazek huh?
  4. Ahh i'm not watching tonight, but form fitting goalie pants is a good idea. Most goalies have pants a couple sizes bigger than they need i'm sure to slow down pucks. If you can't play without excessivly sized gear maybe you shouldn't be a goalie at the NHL level. Look what Sawchuk had to work with. If he had today's gear he'd be a brick wall.
  5. What changes are they proposing now? I hope part of it is cutting the height of the pads back down to just above the knee where they used to sit instead of them sitting almost at the waist. If not, great place to start. The glove and blockers got smaller already.
  6. Wow. He's either just rusty or Jittery Jimmy may have resurfaced. Needs another couple starts in GR before he comes back up it sounds like.
  7. All good. Mine had lines too, but nothing very organized. I'll check out the sign up sheet. Mrazek looks pretty good tonight. I like seeing Blash give him another start. It's what he needs to break the crappy season he's having..keep playing and working on it and get some confidence and comfort in the net back. Blash has been flip flopping the goalies too much all season. Gotta stick with one for more than a couple games. Coreau isn't looking very good lately either, and the team doesn't really need him to improve as much as they need Mrazek to at this point with Howard's return supposedly close and Coreau goin back to GR when he is ready.
  8. I'm sure he'll have a period of suckage as he continues along in the NHL. Most rookies do, unless your Howe, Gretzky, Lemieux, Ovechkin, Crosby, etc that is.
  9. All good man. I just might.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Wings are forced into putting guys on waivers more than other teams are? It's like Kenny has two crappy cars and can't keep one. One is an old AMC. Gremlin that has way too many miles on it, runs like s***, and breaks down all the time. And the other is a newer Chevy Aveo that still runs great, has pretty low miles, and gets him by. Both cars suck equally, but the Aveo is clearly the one that will serve him best going forward. But he kept the Gremlin.
  11. What, my thread wasn't good enough? All I had to do was change the title and it was set. Lol Let's go Wings! Can you please start on time tonight and not gift any goals in the early first? Way too many goals have been going in off our own players like Errorsson lately, or going in because they are screening their own goalies (Kronwall that's you. Happy your not playing tonight dude.). Our goalies can't stop pucks they can't see. Clear the front of the net. And crash theirs. Dirty goals count too, although I know it's hard for you to believe that. Just wake the f*** up. Thanks.

Yeah, I figure Kenny would like to hang on to Green unless an offer comes in that he can't refuse. If he makes it known he's shopping Green at the deadline, he'll get tons of interest from contenders looking to solidify their D before the playoffs. He may end up getting offered something great. Never know.

That is the absolute sad truth. Kronwall could need a walker to move and Blash would put him out there.

And the Wings is? The Leafs have 3-4 defencemen with over 10 points. Gardiner with 23, Zaitsev with 21, Reilly with 17, Hunwick with 11. The Wings have 1. Green with 24 points. Errorsson is second with 9. And if Green is gone at the deadline, scary s***.

HAHAHAHA!! Kenny ditches him and Lou and Babs snag him. If Babs wanted him, having coached him before, he knows there's something there. If he thought he was completely worthless, he wouldn't have even given it a thought. Just imagine he becomes a permanent fixture of the Leafs blueline or something after Babs is done with him. Haha I bet Marchenko's happy to be free of Kenny and Blash and going to a team on the rise where he probably won't be a healthy scratch in favour or broken down and/or useless vets cause loyalty. Holland looks more and more incompetent every ******* day.

Yeah haha. He really needs to hang em up, but he won't. Still has double digit millions left on his contract, and doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would voluntarily stop playing. It's gonna take an injury he can't come back from for him not to play anymore. Only way the Wings will get permanent cap relief for the next two seasons with him is LTIRetirement.

At this point, yes. But both are pretty useless. Both played 30 games and Marchenko has 6 points, Kronwall 5. And Kronwall plays on the PP. Lol

2/3 GDT - Red Wings vs New York Islanders - 7:30 PM EST

Ahh ya. Still a sorry excuse for a first rounder. Then again the Wings have/had a few of those the past couple decades.

Maybe he pulled his groin in warmups? This team is doomed as long as Blash is around.

He's no worse that's for sure. And he can skate.

A win! Playoff hopes still alive huh Kenny?

No it's not what happened. Like I said, Marchenko isn't a big loss if he's claimed, but it's still a classic Holland move keeping a vet who can barely skate anymore over a young guy who can because he's Kronwall and he won a cup ten years ago.
