No. Larkin was flying a month ago. He's not terrible, in fact he's still one of our best. But he's a far cry from where he's been energy-wise earlier this season. I don't expect him to be on for 82 games, but he's been quiet for a few weeks for sure.

We've been so hard to watch the last few weeks. No energy, no urgency, no speed, no puck possession, no controlling the play, no established forecheck, just not dangerous at all. The team is just impotent right now, and sadly we're pretty much at full strength. Are they tired or something? Zetterberg can't shoot, Datsyuk can't hold the puck, Helm, Glendening and Larkin don't look fast. WTF?? I just hate watching this team right now.

I can't see Blashill making either of these guys play 3 games in 3 nights unless someone else gets hurt late.

Anyone else notice how good Green looked out there? He was clearly a leader on the ice and looked confident and comfortable. I wasn't expecting such solid D from him like this. I also thought Jurco put in a good effort and showed some hunger as the game wore on.

Wow. This thread is nuts and is exhibit A in the case for him being the most underrated player in the NHL. People talking about Letang, OEL, Pietrangelo in the same category? Lolwut?!?! Watch games, not pts totals. Seabrook was the main reason they just won the Cup. Keith got all the glory but the Hawks without Seabrook go down in flames, probably swept.

Pacioretty will be close if he shows he can play at this level for several years like Kane. I'm pretty sure he will, but right now it's a no-brainer. If I need to start a team with one of those two - I'd need about 2 seconds of thinking time to pick Kane. Shame he's such a ****** though.

Nyquist was fairly meek last season. Granted, the expectations were high. Personally, I feel that Tatar is more clutch and that's kind of a big deal for me. He seems to enjoy the big occasions, GTGs and GWGs.

Santini is exactly where someone at his level should be right now. It's fairly likely he'll be a decent NHL player one day, but probably not for 3-4 more years yet.

I'm surprised at how little consideration AA seems to get on these boards. He seems much closer to NHL-level than any forward in GR save for Pulkkinen, yet Mantha is still gets a lot more attention than him. Larkin only played a handful of games in GR and from memory, he was pretty friggin good - but it was only a handful of games. Which means, I'm excited for his future, but reserve my judgement for his present level until I witness more. But given his age, it's an uphill battle to get a shot over guys like AA, Pulkkinen and even Mantha, Bertuzzi and Callahan.
