I think we drafted just fine. I like the Seider pick. In reading all the comments about all the top ten picks in this forum there were less negatives about him than anyone. Never heard about our second pick but I’m warming up to him. How can you not like a t-Rex. We are going to have to start weeding out some of our older dmen just to find places for these guys to play

Great day for the American program. Who do all those guys play against? They all seem to be teammates.

What is the scouting report on Kaliyev. Is his skating not good? Is he another Teemu Pulkinen? I'm hoping for Matt Robertson with this next pick even though we should likely take a forward. Lavoie would be my next choice.

I like the pick. I have to agree with Brian Burke that we could have gotten him at 10. I'm sure Steve tried but a deal wasn't available.

I’ve decided Byrum, Turcotte, and Dach are gonna be gone. We have a choice of Cozens, Pod, or Zegras. Ever since someone a few pages back compared Pod to Zegras where Pod ate nails for Breakfast and Zegras baked Cupcakes I can’t back us picking him. That’s my entire reasoning for not liking him. Once we pick him I’ll get my head around it and support him

I’m trying to pump up Moritz Seider in my mind. Is he comparable to a Trouba. I’d rather have him than Zegras

At one at the start of the year he was a bit of a secret. I was hoping for him in round two. At six I think it’s a bit of a reach. If we want a dman that bad I’d rather have Broberg. Oh well I think Seider will become a very good nhl player. I would be happier with him than Zegras

I can’t see Krebs going on the top ten now. It’s too serious of an injury for teams who have to draft well to take a chance. So how far will he fall. I could see Colorado at 16 taking him after taking Byrum at 4. Montreal just before them maybe. Maybe Vegas will take a gamble. Forgive my pun. I think he will go to a team who is already good.

Of all the guys being mentioned for us at six I really hope we stay away from Zegras and Caufield. I can’t see anyone gambling on a 5’6” forward early. Turcotte and Byrum won’t be there. It’s a choice between Dach, Cozins, and Pod

I really hope we don’t take another goalie early. In addition to the three just mentioned there is Van Pottelberg over in Europe who had a good year. Sorry about the spelling. Fulcher and Rybar are doing ok also. Just saw another mock that had Byrum dropping to six. Fingers crossed

Right now I think Byrum, Turcotte, and Zegras are gone in that order just ahead of us. Who do you pick between Dach and Cozins. They both shoot right I think. Win win

The first two are obvious. It looks like Bowen has cemented himself into the three spot with a great playoff. I haven't heard anything negative about Turcotte for a while so he goes four or five. I have a hunch Dach goes next. That leaves Cozins or Podkolzin for us. I like Cozins

Now that Broberg had an excellent U18 does he slip into your top ten? If Podkolzin is in the ISS top four I think, and still second in Europe in Central’s list I don’t believe he slips out of the top five picks. Was it Buttons that ranked him low. Not too impressed with his list. I’m still hoping for Byrum and Turcotte.
