Hell no, shouldn't retain more than 1.5 mil and even that's pushing it. Howard is a good goalie still our defense is just horrible.

I'd go for this trade happen but i don't think goose should go the other way in fact i think its highly unlikely for Nyquist to be traded in the first season of his contract especially since he has a nmc and he's so close to a lot of our current players, Goose will look and be a lot more useful by the time pav and Z are gone. -

Watched the first period, couldn't take anymore. -
I wouldn't call Quick or Rinne elite, maybe Rinne use to be, but Jimmy Howard could win cups with LA and probably put better numbers up than Quick Quick can definitely turn it on but I haven't seen enough in the regular season to consider him elite, Rinne has taken a few steps back in the past two seasons.

LGRW time to bounce back, over the past two seasons this team has just choked away first place. Bear down and light up this struggling Jets team. -
if he was Canadian you'd be calling him the next Carey Price, I wouldn't tag him as elite yet (Price, Holtby, Lundqvist) but he's certainly on the same level as a Quick/Rinne. The only thing the kid lacks is experience at the nhl level.
