    4/22 GDT: Coyotes 0 @ Red Wings 4

No. It is game 4 being down 0-3 since win doesn't realy get them anything, just yet; however, loosing this game would be end of it. anyway, win would be greatly appreciated. in regulation. please.

The Race for Eight: Blue Jackets, Stars, Wings

wow. that is really taking it to perspective... kipwinger meant all pro athletes, you - all human beings. hold on a sec. we were talking about red wings, who are pro athletes, managers etc. We were not talking about mistakes in life, but rather in plays or/and other action more or less relative to the game of hockey. I didn't say, that all mistakes are due to lack of care, but some are for sure. and because you meant all humans being, let me ask you a question. do you always trust emotions people display? or you rather judge what they do or don't do? and yes, lack of care is exactly what we are observing. i made this conclusion based on unusually large number of mistakes in crusial moments of play. what else could it be?

The Race for Eight: Blue Jackets, Stars, Wings

On that play with Howard and Brunner, both made mistakes. But there're mistakes and mistakes. if you don't understand the difference I cannot do much about it.

The Race for Eight: Blue Jackets, Stars, Wings

Well, you are not paying attention to details, then. First, you've said about all professional athletes.Second, Kostitsyn is not Russian. And, yes, Brunner did not care. otherwise he would not make such a bonehead mistake. Just because he is a professional athlete. I'm not saying they don care at all. But some of they plays are result of 'don't care' state of mind. It seem that state of mind kinda prevails this year for wings.

The Race for Eight: Blue Jackets, Stars, Wings

It can quite possible be either way. It's either something wrong with individual who wishes it, or whoever is wished upon.... No? No. Have you seen that episode with Kostytsin was going for a change while opposition scored on a breakaway? No, not all of them care.

i was very wrong, I thought it was playoff round 0 for Red Wings. It turns out to be start of a golf season instead. Have fan wings, you very well deserve it.

Six outdoor games in 2014 for NHL

from business perspective, this is a great move. these games are sold out for whatever they ask for. I'd also say, tv rating would be as high as if it was only one or two games. from fan perspective, this is a horrible move. for one reason jealousy. however, if the league will keep doing it year after year, all benefits will water down.

never mind shorten season. it is mid April, and it is playoff time for the Wings. Wings' 0th round started as usual on April 14th. we need 4 wins out of last 7 games. today's the game 2. Wings win.

Why do you cheer for the Red Wings?

I became a hockey fan long time ago, I remember watching Canada - USSR series in 1972 with my dad. I still remember the atmosphere, tension, excitement ... From that point on, I followed greatest soviet player, Valery Kharlamov, and his team, CSKA and obviously team USSR. I remember these two goals, by Yakushev (3:3) and Kharlamov (4:3), in 1976 Olympic final against team Czeckslovalia. I remember Miracle on the ice, it has been painful. Then Kharlamov death in car accident a year later... Then Larionov, Makarov, Krutov, Fetisov, Kasatonov.... Later Fedorov... Canada Cups... When Fedorov 'defected', I have had a fisrt look at Wings. At that time, hockey in Russia was non-existent, and Wings felt like old-time excitement and everything. 1994, 1995 seasons was just frigging terrific, but March 26, 1996.... Stanley Cup... That ******* accident.... then Stanley Cup on Konstantinov laps... I don't know, it must be a dynasty, string of great players and team with character and pride, that made me Red Wings fan ...
  17. He divorced back in 2009 or 2010 (i could be wrong on date, but there is no Mrs. today). And no, it wont be a money either. He would get as much as he wants from virtually any KHL team. Eventually, he'd be gone to play and live in Russia, but reasons would be something similar to what Lidstrom's had when decided to move back to Sweden. I hope he stays for another year or two though, but chances are slim... I would be so fast jumping on conclusion about me or any other person you never met. Stuart had played several years while his family was in California, and it was 4 hours flight to get there. For Dats, if he decides to leave and play in Russia, it would be very similar to Stuart situation. He'd want to play for contender, that means chances he plays for Avtomobilist (from city where his daughter lives) are 0. This team is dead last in the East conference. He likely will sign with team from other city, Moskow, St.Peterbrough, Kazan, etc.
  18. What makes you think he will get better wingers in Russia? His daughter lives in Ekaterinburg, it's 2 hours flight from Moscow, 3 hours - from St. Peterbugh and 6 or 7 from Khabarovsk. Yes, he can see his daughter two or three time more than if he plays here... But these (daughter and wingers) aren't deciding factors, not even close.
  19. judging from his body language, he, at times, wishes this lockout never ends and he stayed home this year and year after...
