Mike, do you ever look at stands on your road games? Yesterday, there was around half of audience wearing red and white as well as a day before. Do you care about them? Or it's all about 'people in Michigan'?
-
And I guess you are that chick who doesn't give a damn about history of your own country, but proud to 'understand' hockey . However, I will waste a few moment of my time to enlighten you. In 1934 there was a huge strike of textile workers in New England, Southern States organized by nobody but trade unions. Huge. Hundreds of thousands people was involved. Lasted several weeks. They were demanding 30-hours work week, more then double increase in pay, etc. The outcome: In Northern states, where most of demand were satisfied, employment in textile industry decreased by 300% in 20 years, while in Southern States, where trade unions lost, there was a boom and more than a quoter of a million jobs were created over the same period of time. These are verifiable historical facts. And what you suggested me: watch some Hollywood production to learn history, huh?

I'm about to leave for honda center. I hope to loose my voice celebrating Wings' win tonight. GO WINGS!!

last time i checked, there were player's agents who negotiate fair share part. Right. If one looks into the history of 'trade unions', one would find tons of interesting stories. the question is, are these stories still applicable? I am sure, they are not. and if there is 'a story', there are a lot of hungry lawyers who would jump to protect abused ones. anyway, we are missing one important part of this whole deal. who is paying all these money? I guess we are, fans. do we have a say in any single debate? No. We vote by buying tickets, merchandise, watching tv, etc. should we form a union to protect our interest? No. See above. Should PA care about players there would no lockout, ever.
-
- league is getting money from tv, ads, teams, etc, - teams are getting there fair share of paid money through contracts with league, selling merchandise, etc. - players are getting their fair share of paid money through contract they signed with team; where on this picture is a void that PA should fill in? there isn't one. are these multimillionaire professional player need a protection? from whom? from gms?! that's funny, as i said. do anybody think that datsyuk/lidstrom/etc/etc need PA 'protection' to get his fair share? I don't think so. I'd blame PA solely if there is another lockout. not battman, not gms, but PA.
-
I thought PA stands for PLAYER Association. Why on earth PLAYER Association would care about ticket prices?!
-
funny...
-
please, somebody explain what purpose this fuching (trade/labour/labor) union (PA) serves?
-
this moron should stay where he is now. nhl is better off without him.
-
exactly. blackhawks looked like bunch of drunk cheerleaders, and wings managed to lose anyway...
-
Malkin #7 Paul Martin should get 2 minutes for slashing. That's it. Edit: It wasn't Malking, it was #7 Paul Martin who should get slashing call.

I tend to agree with 24% of players who think Canucks is most overrated team in the league. Today's game or rather meaning of this game to standing, winning the conference, etc. is also overrated. That said, Wings win this one anyway. GO WINGS!!
-
sure. but you said quite differently: see the difference? Wings have a history of losing their best players to injuries, they have a history of other players stepping up.

i was wondering the same. apparently, it seems pretty minor: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2012/02/red_wings_pavel_datsyuk_to_mis_1.html i had a repair on my torn meniscus(sp?) a couple of years ago. it took me at least two mouth to feel I can do my usual activities. I guess this two month period can be cut in half with all right procedures, exercises etc. But two weeks... sounds a little too fast...

nhl ® is doing poor job providing viewers with best options. that's why there are 'pirating'. and worse, nhl will NOT learn, they have pretty dumb lawyer running the organization and first they will ban, sue, put in jail, and then they have no incentives to make it better for fans... well, i don know if it has been posted, if yes sorry, here is what other thinks about nhl's poor job: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/learned-hockey-day-america-please-restrict-americans-access-145003578.html

gill is a pain in the ass... for homer. he's seen enough of gill during two scf in 2008 and 2009. now, it is another three or two meetings for the rest of the regular season and possible playoff series... well, anyway. could this acquisition mean that nsh is giving up on talks to their free-agent defensmen?
-
guess what, should we win next at home, someone will start measuring a distance from home arena to road arena. and that someone will claim, that Boston or Philly won 23 just because their 23rd win was 'near or not that far' from home.
-
you forgot a couple season tickets to the joe. without those, no deal.

Vancouver Sun article on why no one hates the Wings
ami replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
a blues fan: and why am I not surprised... -
they all are talking about big investment and risks business (teams) are taking allowing their players to go to play in Olympics. how they are multimillioners and blah-blah-blah but they are keep forgetting who are the customers of these businesses? Who pays for the product? we are customers and we are who pay. sure bettman wont listen to us, never did. but it doesn't mean we should keep silence.
-
Who said Battman knows what needs to be done?

The ONE thing I can't stand about Wings games on FSD.....
ami replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
have you seen Sunday's game vs black-chickens? i'd rather take "call-sam" etc, then those morons from nbc. -
Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I take it as a compliment. Just because it's coming from you.

anything, I mean *anything*, that would make pens fans suffer is a good thing by definition.

I have better solution for equality-seeking unions. Find maximum out of minimal distances that nhl teams have to travel and make all teams travel the same distance. If Rangers plays Islanders they should take red-eye flight from La-Guardia to Kansas and then from Kansas to Kennedy. Such a 'common sense' would be very well in line with 'common sense' shown by unions, any union.
