He needs to spend alot of time in the gym doing squats and bench presses coupled with slow overeating. 172 pounds wont cut it, not even in the Ahl. Add 15-20 pounds of beef, 2 years of training and we have a a top center.

Ken Holland is gonna adress the media at 4 p.m. ET. He's a smart cookie, all he will do now is play out the cards he had prepared. I for one hope that the first card he waves out is Jeff Blashill as head coach of the good old Detroit Red Wings.

Aren't we ignoring the bull in the glass house regarding the Babcock coaching decision? I think Babs and many others with him are doubtful that the Red Wings will make the playoffs next season. Moving out and letting Blashill handle that, in a sense acts as a dampener on that predicament. It Has to factor in for atleast 2 parties involved, namely Babcock and Ken Holland. Babs sure as hell does not want that on his resumé. He'd rather coach the Leafs, which truly must be hopeless.

Agreed. As far as I'm concerned the Stanley cup finals is going to played between the Ducks and the Blackhawks. Any east/west confrontation following that is just x-number of games of applause to the winner from west. These 2 teams are in a league of their own among the remaining ones. I believe that literally. Can't wait to follow that series. And I'm picky and a Redwings fan, just thought I'd mention that as my post could be seen as a rabid ducks/hawks fan rant for the uninitiated.

Game airs 01.30 at night here in Stockholm. I will watch it though, in agony. Might switch off if there's a 2+ goal Tampa lead starting the 3rd.

Stamkos will not have a superb game atleast. Dats will make bloody sure of that, I can blindly guarantee that after his last performance. For those not knowing, handling Stamkos have been Pavel's duty throughout the series. It's the Tyler Johnson line that bothers me, and Lightnings overall play at home. Could get really ugly, really fast.

We are left to putting all our trust on a 23 year old goalie. It is not advisable to do so. Having doom & gloom feelings about this one. If Howard is healthy, I say put him in and see if he can't stand on his head.

Hockey christ in heaven, I have No Idea how this game is gonna go. And it's pivotal. Probably series deciding one way or another. Key good things lurking in the back of my mind before drop off: *** Stamkos is really struggling. No idea if it's injuries or part defensive coverage part exhaustion. I hope all of the above, plus a wodoo spell by a Jamaican spellmaster Hutwoman. Also, he is misused in the Tampa PP. **Tampa's Tyler line was defended great in game 3. More of the same. Pop em! * Great pressure in terms of forechecking and good penetrating passes in game 3. This was a KEY difference from the other games, also the games from late in the regular season. Can they sustain? It is Critical. Let's go RW.

Greetings, been reading up on the RW forum but didn't see the need to type something up, until now. Looking back at the fantastic team Detroit was during the 90's with a handful of generational players like Yzerman, Fedorov, Lidström, Hull, Hasek. And my personal favs, the underappreciated guys - Konstantinov and Holmström. Geez imagine going against that. It boggles my mind that I haven't seen all the games from this era. I will watch them all in time. However to get a flying start, is there just 1 game you, the reader can recommend from this timeframe? Don't suggest the bloody sunday game between Detroit-Colorado as I have seen that one.. 5 times I think. Regards Jacksoni

+1 on this. With some caviats - if some teams in need of a good goalie offers good D-men prospects.. Say the Oilers for instance, he could be moved. Otherwise I predict a Mrazek/Howard combo next season. Right up Kenny Hollands alley.
