Yep, same as W Bush, Cheney, Romney, Springsteen, Ted Nugent, Bill Clinton, Newt Gringrich, Giuliani and John Wayne..., but not for the same reasons, I guess

2016 SCF: San Jose Sharks vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
NerveDamage replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
sorry my bad, I said it was the replica cup but found this: "The replica trophy, called the "Replica Cup", was created in 1993 by Montreal silversmith Louise St. Jacques to be used as a stand-in at the Hockey Hall of Fame whenever the Presentation Cup is not available for display" so I assume it was the Presentation Cup treat yourselves with some fun facts! http://thehockeywriters.com/little-known-facts-about-the-stanley-cup/ -

Indeed so they pretty much dented the replica cup According to the multiverse theory, there are multiple verses in which we all are Darren Helm at one point or the other, heck, there's even one verse where we all are Darren Helm. -

I just wanted to say taht even though the Sharks are known for the proclivity to choke in the playoffs, this year wasn't the case. They just didn't have enough to counter the Pens. Pittsburgh was just that good. -
That's Life - Frank Sinatra PVD: didn't know of Memphis slim, but I liked it. I will definitely look up more of him.

Well I never...would have guessed it btw his name is Jerry West

Ali was more than the face of Boxing, and to those whom diminish him to just a divisive and controversial figure your speech seems racist. I can't imagine how opressive must have been to have lived as a person of colour back then. Imagine that, Ali (or Cassius Clay as some might prefer to call him) being an Olympic Champion and was still treated as a second-class citizen. Him taking a stand against the system of his era is something only Legends do.

Wayne Gretzky: NHL should retire Gordie Howe's #9 jersey "...I'm pretty biased,” Gretzky said during the visitation at Joe Louis Arena. “If I had my way, I would do it. But that's for the league. I'm not involved with the league right now. But listen, whatever they choose to do is going to be very special because Gordie deserves something really special and unique. “I don't think anybody helped promote, support the game, the sport or our country better than Gordie Howe,” Gretzky continued. “He was proud to be a Canadian, proud to be from Saskatchewan. And I don't think the NHL is going to overlook the fact of how important he was to the game so I'm sure they are going to do something real special for him.” http://www.si.com/nhl/2016/06/14/gordie-howe-jersey-retirement-wayne-gretzky?xid=si_nhl&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter I don't know if it's viable, since it's posthumous. But if not, perhaps an award or trophy in Howe's honour is in order

I wonder if the venue will have such of Vegas amenities as a Drive-thru chapel or a Fat Elvis impersonator as the hot dog vendor. Rockettes as Ice girls.

always the Penguins ...When it was Bourque's turn to have the Cup in his possession, he heard a rattling bolt on the inside of the Chalice, which he took apart and fixed. In the process, and inspired by some etchings he saw inside the Cup from the 1940s, Bourque took a screwdriver and scratched "Phil Bourque, Pittsburgh Penguins, 90-91, Enjoy it!" inside the metal frame. full article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/the-10-oddest-places-the-stanley-cup-has-ever-visited?urn=nhl,wp6036 at least it's not the original cup -
