Interesting, nobody mentioning "New Center Eatery" on w Grand blvd. best chicken and waffles and breakfast in town. although it's a bit far from the downtown area.

Hats and toques are $20 & up, t-shirts around $30, scarves $15 & up, sometimes there's people selling "farewell to the Joe" red t-shirts outside the arena for $10. As I saw parking is pretty expensive around the Joe, the farther away you get, the cheaper it gets, but you can spend from $20 - $35, you could park at the Greektown casino, I think it's cheap as long as you play a bit and get your ticket validated, then hop on the bus that takes you to the Joe and back.

Hey everybody! ...moment of silence for my boy Drew Miller, may the waives that took you, bring you to safe shores. Can you believe that 4th line of us? Abby Glendening Helm, wow... for realzies? Talk about amazing. A bit hard to follow Blash's changeups mid game, but our lines looked really strong. DeKeyser looked a step behind for the whole game and was a bit of a surprise to see him on that first shift in the OT. Blash if you're reading this, please try and switch Green, or any other right hand defenseman for that matter, to the left point from time to time and you'll see magic happen. Much better flow and puck movement all around, specially Helm and Jensen. How come there's no AA on the PP? although he almost showed up on the PK with a breakaway. Great effort all around, but still a long way to go. Our future looks bright and starts to take shape, it's just a matter of time for it to burst. Got a couple of "that jersey is sick effing amazing" about my 91-92 Stevie Y, and felt proud about it. Next stop is Boston, go get 'em much needed 2 points boyz.

I agree on moving Ericsson, Howard I don't know... he's just being moved to ltir and, eventhough, he put good numbers earlier in the season, I don't see him with that much of a trade value as of now. Dumping salary is a must as most of you have stated. I know Shattenkirk would be pretty much a "rental" until he becomes an ufa. But strengthening our D should be a priority and who knows, maybe he likes it around here and we keep him at a good price. I mean, Stamkos stayed in Tampa after looking around and being offered a ton of cash by other teams ...anything could happen.

Hey, hey Hockeytown!!! Mike, your amazing gdts, the artwork and dedication you've put in them are the main reason I became a regular member around here. My first convo was with you, asking you about how could I contribute making gdts, since I felt it was one of the coolest things ever. From then on, I've gotten to know the amazing styles of flashyG's, Mabus', and all of the others that post them whenever possible. Going a lil personal here but, after a really tough and depressing phase, being around here changed my life and gave me something to keep going, and most importantly, the one thing I always needed, a hockey community, and now, a few dear friends. So I thank You for that. Love what you guys do at DSN and I wish You the best in this and all of the endeavours to come. You're amazing, dude! LetsGoWings! and LetsGoMike!!!

Hey, hey Hockeytown!! Amazing game last night. Awful start with many giveaways that ended up in our net. Green seemed off at the start and that shortie was the result of poor passing trying to get into the offensive zone. Really can't blame Coreau on those goals, but luckily our boyz scored a ton of goals backing up Petr, and came back at the end of the game to take it to OT, to have Vanek and Nielsen finish it off in the shootouts. Jensen keeps looking amazing with that puck handling and speed. Still a lot of room for improvement but at least we're racking up points. Didn't I say Sheahan was going to get finally on the scoresheet? Only 1 point but was a +3 in the game. Visiting the Michigan Humane Society Pet adoption center yesterday, playing with the doges and making a donation did the trick. There are a bunch of cute puppers there that are looking for a home, and unless Sheahan starts putting up more points we have to make our part as well. Celebrated a bit too much last night, my phone died and missed the last bus so had to walk almost 5 miles back to where I'm staying, still, it was no thang... Awesome atmosphere at the Joe, I think I prefer the upperbowl where the hardcore fans at. They really get into the game, the perks of seating amongst season ticket holders, I guess... Thanks for all the love and your funny posts about my trip, hoping Mabus' go fund me takes off and can stay for more games lol. I already made plans to stay till the leafs game.
