Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... what an experience this game was. 3 rows from the glass behind Price, so pretty much every shot that missed him seemed like it was heading towards us. First time it happened, during practice, I ducked so some girls whom were sitting on the other side of the aisle from me, laughed about my reaction. Really cool to get to see all the players that up close, really makes you feel a part of the game. Great effort by our Boyz, although it was too close for comfort, they all seemed to be on top of things and there was some sort of relief to see how they handled the Habs. Really liking how Jensen looks on the ice, he has some puck handling skills and speed, hope to see more of him. Got to meet Ken Kal before the game and took a pic with him and got his autograph. Since I was next to the zamboni area I got to talk to Al Sobotka and did the same with him as well, He was talking to the aforementioned girls and offered them a zamboni ride, so I seized the moment and made the best of it, he's quite the ladies man... too bad he didn't needed me as a wing man, otherwise... who knows. Couldn't ask for a better experience and to be at the Joe for a shutout. Even the bus to greektown was a hoot, every Wings fan was so excited and happy so there were a lot of laughs on that ride. Tomorrow I'll be meeting Bill Berzeench's home boy Brendan Smith, really looking up for that. Cool experience in Detroit so far. Good times, good times. ND signing off. Lets Go Red Wings!

So Hagelin's stick actually helped AA to get past Schultz, lucky poke check for us, but still, what a finish. First thing I told him today was "Amazing goal last night, AA"

Well, we booed him and then started mocking him when he got sent to the sin bin, and a kid with a cry baby penguin shirt was shown on the jumbotron. Good Times, good times.

What a game! My first at the Joe, lower bowl, row 9, where the Wings shot twice. I couldn't believe we got scored on the first sog, and then felt a bit nervous about how Ericsson was floating around before putting the puck in our own net, again... smh. But to witness the miracle that happened afterwards was amazing. I couldn't believe the refs disallowed that Pens goal and everything from that point on was pure excitement. I started chanting AA! AA! just when he took the puck and deked between all of those pinkwins and scored. We did the wave, at least in my section, and tried to get on Fleury's nerves. and I think I saw the guy who threw an octopus and made a thread about it last season. I couldn't have asked for a better game to be my first, to get to sing Journey out loud with my fellow Detroiters, and better yet, against Pittsburgh. Tomorrow I'm meeting AA, AntMan, Danny D, Green, Sproul and Ouellet at an autograph signing. So I have to cut short the celebration tonight in order to get up on time tomorrow and travel there. Great day for "our" Detroit teams visiting the west coast since the Lions will be facing the Seahorks today too. I like how Toledo has these events and have fun with their jerseys, they had the 3-jersey Zombie night and the 8-bit night last season, and in previous ones, the Batman/Joker, Star Wars, even a Don Cherry night. Maybe I'm not a conventional hockey fan, but I say keep it up, some of us fans like what you're doing, now, if they could only put them up for sale, instead of only auctioning game worn jerseys, they could make a fast buck.
