So the interference that led to Ericsson having to trip is okay? That's it, can't watch this crap anymore, I'm goin to throw my f-ing computer through the wall. I don't mind losing but being screwed over thre times by the f-ing worhtless refs is to much. F_@k the REFS and the Habs! Detroit better pull it's head out of it's a$$ or it is going to be a tough road stretch for them.

The Wings have to get Price pissed! They need to bump him, jab him, talk $hit to him, need to go Marchand on him! Wings need to get back to breaking out quick, transition and make their defense play defense! The Habs whole game depends on not having to play strong "D". Got to pressure Subban and Eller and push Emilman around like the puss he is and start shooting! PP looks pathtic! Better tighten it up because Montreal is going to bring it 3rd period. Have to bet these @$$hats at home! Break them and break Price all in this final period!!

Time to start taking to Price! If the refs are going to F_ck the Wings like that then all bets are off! First the bs call on Abby after Subban mugs him and cross checks the crap out of him and the POS refs call Abby? Then the WORSE call of the season on that goal! Should have been no goal, and goalie interference! HATE THE HABS! HATE THEIR FANS! HATE 98% OF ALL REFS IN ALL SPORTS!!

Zone control is the key against Montreal. Quick two pass from d-zpne to their zone put pressure on their d-men. Hit Subban every chance you get and he'll turn it over. He also gets pissed and will take stupid penalties. Price has got to have bodies infront of him. You have to bump him and get him to start reacting to the presence in front of him. If you let him sit and watch the shots coming in he'll kill you. Not hard game this hockey. Get out of your zone, get into theirs ASAP, shoot shoot shoot the puck, and then shoot again!

I think this might be finally it for the Mule, Sadly

I think it was last year or the year before, Don Cherry had an interesting piece on the shoulder and elbow pads used in the NHL nowadays. He showed some of the pads from 15 or so years ago and today's pads He discussed the size and the hard caps, and the size and coverage areas of these caps. He said back in the day if you went full run at another player and missed and went into the boards or glass you could mess up your own shoulders or elbows, or hitting the player might mess you up too. With the huge, hard caps on the pads, plus the size of the gear itself, his reasoning was it is directly contributing to concussions and the willingness of players to take shots on other guys they might not if their equipment was reduced in size and the hard caps made smaller. Some of the shoulder pads looked like friggin' lineman's pads from the NFL! And the caps were huge on them! The elbow pads examples he had were oversized as well. With the combined size, speed, and strength of today's players, the NHL needs to continue to buckle down on head contact and hits into or near the boards, and maybe get a little more aggressive on the suspensions/fines. I don't think fighting has as big a role in concussions as hits do, and fighting is a choice, getting blindsided or run into the boards/glass isn't. Hockey is a hard, tough, dangerous sport, and injuries are going to happen, but if long term injuries like concussions and such could be reduced then by all means they should. p.s. get rid of the "mirror test" you dumb-asses, your hockey players not underwear models! Pressure the manufactures into producing better helmets, in terms of concussion prevention, without jacking the price up 10,000%!

    10/9 GDT : @ Red Wings 4, Toronto Maple Leafs 0

Awesome game! Abby was an animal and Hank and the Kid looked great. Wouldv'e liked to to have seen a little more from the other lines but overall a pretty good effort. Toronto has a loooonnnnngggg way to go! We'll see how quickly they can come together because they sure looked lost tonight! Anyone else notice how lazy and ineffective Phanuef was? He turned the puck over, lost many battles, and just looked like he didn't give a damn. Not a great attitude for a "C". Carolina should be a better "gauge" for the Wings, and Tampa is always tough so neither one is going to be cake walk and nearly as easy as tonight. Should be an entertaining season!
