You're perfectly right. However age as nothing to do with his lack of goals. I believe we have quite a few 20 or 19 at this moment who are performing better than him... they also have better linemen. My point is that Larkin needs to improve to be our saviour! And here, I am only giving his stats not comparing goals and points. I am not happy to see him rank as # 35 as a rookie (among 2014-2016 rookies) and overall # 229 in points. I believe the club is failing him by not finding suitable linemen. Both he and Larkin would have scored more goals if they had not miss the nets most of the time. Mantha 's shots usually bounce of the boards behind the nets and with a very loud bang... would be nice to hit the back of the nets instead, no???? I insist that I like both of them but they need to aim their shots better!

You are the one that figured Larkin would score 50 goals. We are not a very good team... a 6 goal scorer leads the team! You seem to be satisfied with this fact! Mantha has only 2 goals with all the chances he has like tonight just before the Habs scored the winning goal and you are very proud of a 2 goal scorer??? I think we are lucky to have these 2 young players but they need to score more goals with all the chances they have. With time they will improve and should be part of a winning team in the future. I enjoyed the game specially when I believed we would really be scored upon after a back to back and a trip from the East coast and facing a rested first place team. Both goalies where extremely lucky and also magnificent between the pipes. Although I think that Price would have stopped the winning goal I don't really blame Mrazek ... I blame our 2 young prospects Larkin and Mantha for missing the nets, shooting on the goalie, anything but scoring! That said we saw a great game! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Posted 2 days ago but in the wrong thread. How lousy we are in scoring points. Our highest point getter is a DEFENCEMAN Green (10 pts) he ranks 55 and 28 teams have at least one player ahead of the Wings/Green. Our next scorers are Nyquist (9 pts)- 84th, Vanek (8 pts) 102nd and our future stars are Larkin & AA- tied at 211th. With 5 points. This is the product of wanting everyone to be a 2way player. We used to have 3 and 4 players in the first 30 point scorers. We really have no clutch scorer and no genuine star. This is the result of a team who has not had a high draft pick safe Larkin (15th) and so far this year he is a disappointment ... he's usually the player with most shots yet he misses the net, shoots directly on the goalie, anything but score. He needs a coach that will take him aside and show him how to score. He's everywhere, reminds me of a headless chicken. I happy he is a Wing player but he needs polishing. As I wrote, I had posted that prior to our last 3-1 win against Chicago but in the wrong thread. Are you telling me that you are satisfied with our lack of wins? Including against Detroit on its second of a back to back and having played the Phillies the night before starting at 8 pm. Very bad scheduling where Boston played 10 b to b and Detroit it's 16 b to b not well balanced!!!

Another uneven chance for Boston against us... Boston has played 10 back to back games whereas Detroit will be playing their 16 back to back and that last one one is next Wed against te Flyers at 8pm then at Boston at 7 pm so who do you think have a better chance to win.
