Red Wings Brass Believes This Will Be An Extended Rebuild
ely s replied to Gniwder's topic in General
it will happen in oktober anyway. -
Berggren is a top ten scorer in a veteran league, I don´t rule him out the AHL is not that much better than the SHL

Albert Johansson is coming over as well or am I wrong? -
What about Albert Johansson, Jared McIsaac, Lucas Raymond and Jonathan Berggren? They have a chance to be on opening night roster as well. Especially Raymond as a right hand shot on offense. McIsaac is likely to start in GR but the other three have chance imo. edit: just read the other thread...

I´m not 100% sure that you understand what developing talent is about. You argue Zadina is a one dimensional player but are also saying when he´s actually adding dimensions to his game and I haven´t read that anyone is saying he´s a defensive stalwart. He´s learning to play the right way, develop, create offense through defense. How can you say he´s not going to be a top player in this league when no one could expect than from a Datsyuk or Zetterberg at the age of twenty. You don´t know until you develop them properly. Just because he´s a #6 pick he´s not an automatic home run or bust. He´s a twenty year old talented kid, maybe is a future star, maybe not. Time will tell, writing him off already is far too early -
the unpretty part were costly turnovers nicely finished by a skilled chicago team. The Wings have no chance against teams like that without constant pressure and Fil and Nielsen might be more experienced and defensively sound but they are also f+++ing slow and their offensive upside is long gone. Bring in the young guns, up the tempo, teach them to play the right way and off you go!
-
the result unfortunately doesn´t mirror the game. Wings were the better team, but were not able to put constant pressure on chicagos defense, add an abysmal pp, questionable lines (Fil on the second line and pp unit, Nielsen) and you end up losing.

expansion draft is 21st and the ´21 draft is 23rd and 24th of july...

Jared McIsaac to play for GR tonight. First game after shoulder surgery
-
for some of these kids it´s too early to leave home, it´s not abandoning NA. Once he´s 20-21 yo it may be a whole different story

Are they planning to give Johansson a look, or will he come over for the start of next season? and what is first, the draft or the expansion draft?

https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/285312/ruben-rafkin his teammate, RHD, three month older and undrafted, scores at a higher rate, so it´s either another gem in waiting or not as impressive as it looks. I have to admit that I have not seen much of Viro, but dominating looks different to me. Time will tell...

Niederbach is at least not afraid to go against Mo, but should better not mess with him

3/9 FREE TODD AND TYLER GDT - Wings v Stephen's Ex - 7:30 PM EDT

I´m not sure what he has to do to stay in the lineup. -
Malmö is winning a lot lately and it looks like they get into the wildcard round, which is between teams placed 7-10, first six teams are seeded iirc. Johansson, who is tied for fifth with Moritz Seider in +/- in the league, is playing for Färjestad who sit in 8th place.
-
I told you he´s going to fix some things immediately. These were grown men not some 18 year olds he was pushing around. He seems to be the complete package, can´t wait to finally see him in Detroit
-
the biggest problem for these teams would be their cap situation after the trade
-
@Akakabuto do you have playoffs in sweden? when I look at the stats the players have no playoff games for two seasons, because if so Seider would be back by the start of april found it myself, last year were no playoffs because of covid, so we have to wait a little longer...
-
he made his presence felt last year in the AHL, it really doesn´t matter to him, he´s comfortable on both sheets. But what is really frightening is when you see the frame of his dad, he is huge. If Moritz has the same build, we will see a lot of wreckage in Motown
-
I love your positivity

Rögle has 6 games left, but that is splitting hairs. He also leads all U20 in points with 25 (5g,20a), second is Lucas Raymond with 18. He´s playing his third pro season, looks like a 10 year veteran out there and is still only 19. Next season might be the start of a new era in Detroit.

two years are fine, it´s not just Glendenings play, more important is his being a pro, you need players like him,a workhorse, a good example in the gym, someone who can teach our young centers how to be good in the circle. Glendening surely is no irreplaceable player, but still good and worth keeping -
Cologne has no depth, the thing with the best two forwards is at least debatable and they have an average coach, who might be bit bigheaded and arrogant.

our powerplay is a slap in the face. In the days when I moved around painfree and no grey hair had reached my head, that was the time when we had a pp. The struggles began under Babcock and are reaching new lows every year.
