https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2020/06/pavel-datsyuk-reportedly-holed-up-at-monastery-seized-by-priest-pushing-covid-19-conspiracy.html Datsyuk is in his cottage, was never "holed up" -
as krs stated, Hronek is 22, Bowey 25, but it´s not just the age, I just think Bowey has already hit his ceiling and Hronek has still a gear left. All Bowie can add to his toolbox is experience, but I don´t want the Wings being the team giving him that, I would prefer younger players with more upside in his spot.
-
I guess it´s after 5 years of pro hockey (AHL,Europe,NHL) for a defenseman before you really know what you have. Take Bowey as example, 5 years, 264 games of AHL and NHL combined and now we know we have a player with no future and no real trade value. Hronek is another one, 5 years, 259 games of AHL,Europe,NHL combined and now we know we have at least a good 2nd pair D with room to grow.
-
keep Biega as 7th dman and send Bowey down. Bowey will never have "high" trade value, if someone claims him, so be it, I wouldn´t shed a tear.
-
I wouldn´t see Green as a plug, more as a veteran presence. Our future RD with Seider,Hronek and Lindström is very promising, but also very young. Green for another 2/3 of a season sounds like a good thing to me, he doesn´t have to move and can finish his career after next season and we have a mentor kind of player for ~50 games and a pick at the deadline. Cholowski isn´t ready yet and might need another half season in GR . Biega as the 7th D and Bowey, he is a guy with all the tools and no clue how to use them, send to somewhere else. That way Green looks like a good fit, depending on what Yzerman wants and how the draft plays out of course

we can still give him a one year contracton july 1st and trade him again at the deadline...

Seider is currently on the ice training with Adler Mannheim in Germany, as they prepare for the season."

Gilbert Brule , Derick Brassard , Sam Gagner , Nikita Filatov , Oliver Ekman-Larsson , Brett Connolly , Mika Zibanejad , Hampus Lindholm , Sean Monahan , Jake Virtanen , Pavel Zacha , Matthew Tkachuk , Cody Glass something to think about in that endless Zadina debate... the Sergachev idea is likeable, but would Yzerman do that? He was in Tampa and it´s a bit of a rude move. Even if we are lucky, drafting goalies now will give us a goalie in 5-7 years, unless it´s a high pick like Askarov and even he would need at least 2-3 years to become a starter. We need better goaltending now, so going hard after one of them looks like a good idea.

I´ve read somewhere, that there was the idea of a 16 team best of five and 8 teams get a bye. after that best of seven rounds

Yesterday German Bundesliga (soccer) started again, without spectators so called ghost games, and it was real strange. No singing in the stands, you could hear every word they said on the pitch. I don´t know how much it will affect the atmosphere of games in the NHL, in soccer it takes a lot of the game away. I hope I can get used to it quick because it looks like it´s going to be like that for at least a few months... Have there ever been "ghost games" in the NHL before? -
If you get him fairly cheap you have a good goalie for 7 years, I hope our rebuild doesn´t take that long
-
Murray is 25, coming into his prime with 2 cups, very intriguing He was better than Howie...but he is not the future edit: but still a good enough backup
-
absolutely and because they know everything we also see a bit of sliding here...https://thehockeynews.com/news/article/redoing-the-2019-nhl-draft-how-would-it-unfold-today another bust at 6, too bad the scouting staff in Detroit is a bunch of losers. honestly, if that is any proof for you that Zadina is a bust you cannot be helped anyway....
-
https://www.nhl.com/news/pittsburgh-penguins-goalie-update-matt-murray-tristan-jarry/c-316829384 this might offer a possibility of getting a good goalie, also interesting that the pens believe the cap won´t rise and possibly can go down as well, what will put for example Toronto in an even tougher spot than they´re in already...

if it really comes down to that https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2020/05/nhl-reportedly-shifts-focus-to-24-team-playoff-not-season-completion.html then I think they might change the proposed draft format into something like the 7 non playoff teams get a shot at number one and the playoff teams have to be sorted on winning% during the regular season or something like that, I can´t see the league giving Detroit a 57% of landing 1oa

it´s a bit annoying to be honest. Unfortunately CRL has a knack for asking provocative questions (some dumb as well) and twisting the things people say, which just causes endless repetitions. something to think about: Rasmussen already has a year of NHL experience and a body ready for the man´s game. In the moment he might be the better player just through that. In the future? f*ck knows and yes, a #10 pick is not assured to become the better player than any other first round selection in his draft class. After the first 6-7 picks it´s more or less hoping to be right imo. -
he´s back https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2020/02/anthony-mantha-back-and-red-wings-hope-hes-smart-about-confrontations.html

based on some gut feeling? watch him play and say that again... I´m not saying that we have to draft him, but he his NHL center material for sure
-
there are no Fabbri haters, it is just you saying it because people dared to say they think Zadina is/will be better
-
to get another lottery pick we need to get AA on a role or we have to trade Fabbri and hope that the receiving team misses the playoffs
