Embarrassing defense. I can't believe how brutal these guys are on a consistent basis. My beer league team could do better. -
I think if you're blowing it up you have to entertain the idea of trading Vanek. He is our best player and could bring in the best pieces to get this team going again. I wouldn't, but some might even entertain the idea of trading Z. He's a good leader for the young guys but he could also probably bring in some decent assets.

They should put E on forward. Tell him to get to the front and try to block shots for the other team. Then they will all deflect into their goal. -

I'm not even sure what to do anymore. After consistently seeing terrible player usage by Blashill all season long, I'm convinced that we won't know what this team is capable of until he is gone.

I'd do that. I like Helm and what he brings to the table for a bottom 6 forward but he is a band-aid. Always seems to be in and out of the line up with some sort of injury

That sounds about right. If they do that then they can't take anyone else from the Wings during the expansion draft or something like that.

I've been very impressed with Jensen. I didn't know much about him other than seeing his numbers in the AHL. Thought he might be stuck there for life, but so far he's been very solid. I wish they would give Sproul more chances to prove his worth. Maybe in place of Big E who seems to ruin my day on a consistent basis.

Game was tough to watch in person. Both teams were so bad that it seemed like nothing happened outside of the goals being scored. Wings had a lot of chances to shoot but always passed it off. Then when they finally did shoot it was a complete muffin, no traffic, easy saves. Also I could tell how the Sabres 2nd goal went in but based on the replay I'd blame Mrazek. -

On my way to the game now. Hope they put in a good effort tonight. Last time the Wings were in Buffalo the game was incredibly boring. Both teams were awful. -
