Some are saying it's prep for the Seattle expansion draft. Barrie would have been the odd man out in every scenario for Colorado. Not sure I buy that though. Seattle really isn't gonna come online until 2021 from everything I've read. Kerfoot is a 24 year old center with similar numbers to Kadri though. Is Kadri's defense really that valuable? -

I guess Kadri has term left, and Barrie only has 1 year left, and Kerfoot has to be re-signed yet. Still tho... I would've just re-signed Kerfoot to similar term as Kadri and kept Barrie for 1 more year. Avs have nice cap room, I don't see the need for this trade. -

WTF what is Sakic doing? If you told me Kadri for Barrie straight up... I'd be like ok I guess that makes ok sense. But retaining 50% salary and throwing in Kerfoot? Did Joe not get the memo that we're trying to f*** over the Leafs this year? -

I just talked to a friend of mine who went to development camp not an hour ago. He said Kuffner, Veleno, and Hirose were noticeably much better than the rest of the team. Not surprised about Kuffner and Hirose as they're already older guys with NHL time, but that was encouraging to hear about Veleno. He also mentioned Adams, Grewe, Seider, and Berggren as guys who looked very promising. -

Yo so the Rags got the Panera Bread Man or whatever... But now they have to re-sign Buchnevich, Trouba, Lemieux, and DeAngelo with like $10 mil in cap space. Trouba's getting at least 7, Buchnevich prolly gets at least 3, DeAngelo gets at least 3, Lemieux prolly around 1+... and I think those numbers are rather conservative. Someone's gotta go? Yzerman has a pretty good trading history with Gorton and Sather as well...

Frank Vatrano sends #72 to Sergei Bobrovsky in exchange for a new Rolex and a year of free dinners. The Russian got fleeced. Those dinners could be anything, they could even be steak. Will be interesting to circle back on this one to see how it turns out. -

Frk has signed with the Kings I don't get how Nyquist gets $5.5 for 2 seasons, and Anders Lee gets $7 for 7 seasons. Both relatively the same age, both about 40 - 60 pt players. Is Lee really that good away from the puck? Or is Lou panicking? -
