Per Bob McKenzie's podcast, it's being reported that Pat Verbeek is expected to follow Yzerman to Detroit Tampa in total meltdown lol This might mean Holland really is leaving. Seems like Yzerman is taking full control and bringing in his own team. Get fukt Tampa EDIT: I assume this would mean Holland, Wright, and Martin skip town and Yzerman brings in Verbeek and Murray. Total shake up. I hope Draper stays though. -

What's max contract this year?

I'm using the translation factor published by Hockey Abstract in 2017. They have one for almost all leagues. Factor for the KHL that year was 0.74, so Gusev in theory would have had 60 pts in 62 GP in the NHL this year using that number. EDIT: They don't come up with one for every year, I've only seen 2015 and 2017. Was 0.80 in 2015.

Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg is already putting it out there via Russian papers and twitter supposedly that he's signing with them. Pretty sure he wanted to play for his home town and retire there before his career ended. Correct, he's UFA July 1st though

If my memory serves me the owner Vinny Viola is a military vet like the Vegas dude and wanted his team to reflect that, so when he bought the team and rebranded it he requested the shield be put on their jerseys. Bad choice cause it looks boring. -
