100% true. I would never clown on someone for their weight IRL. That's just decent manners. But there are no manners on the internet. IRL we have social pressure to be a "nice guy" in our everyday interactions. And we surrender a bit of ourselves to polite society to be that "nice guy" so that folks will want to work with us, befriend us, and sleep with us. On a mostly anonymous online community we don't have these pressures, and thus I can speak fully honestly without fear of meaningful repercussion. So I will tell you quite honestly - when I see an obese individual in a restaurant eating 2k cal in one sitting - I think to myself here's someone with no self-control, no self-respect, no discipline, no willpower, and no motivation. Someone I couldn't set down my slice of birthday cake near or their flabby maw would unhinge like a snake and they would swallow it whole. Then I order a water instead of that soda I was craving... Do I stand up at my table and yell "HEY FATTY I'D LIKE TO FLIP YOU OVER AND TAKE POTATO PEELERS TO THOSE KANKLES HAHA"? No. I don't. I silently judge them. People are always judging. If you don't you're either not dealing with a full deck or you're a liar. You're resting on the premise that I think what I'm saying is bad or unethical. I don't. My point about fat folks might not be a nice one, but I would say that's reality whether most choose to believe it or not. Being fat is tremendous disadvantage in many aspects of life, and it behooves one to correct it. Leave it to Scott to always ruin a thread when it's just getting good...

Oh I was being inflammatory, but that's no hyperbole of my actual opinion. Obesity is a glaring mental and physical health concern and if given the choice I'd prefer not to surround myself with these folks. My favorite is the former fatties though. I've never been more than 20 lbs overweight at any given time, but I've had a few friends over the years who were HUGE for most of their lives and then lost the weight and got fit. And in my experience these people are rabidly anti-fat. They would make me look like someone in the fat acceptance movement. Probably partially just a mental mechanism for keeping themselves thin, but I aslo think it's telling that those who have been there done it absolutely revile it. Doritos and Mtn Dew brother. Name a more iconic and delicious duo.

Agreed. But I'm also not going to pretend that losing that sand bag around his waist wouldn't most likely benefit his play. He didn't deliver like he normally does this year, so now his fitness is a cause for concern. Nah fats are lazy and gross. They're like alcoholics you can easily pick out of a crowd. They should absolutely feel societal pressure to get their s*** together. If not for their own health, then so I don't have to see or smell them when I'm trying to get a cinnabon.

Jimmy is what I would define as a "chunker" someone who could afford to lose 20-30 lbs, but is otherwise probably fine. The only reason Jimmy SHOULD be shamed is cause he's a pro athlete who makes millions to essentially not be a chunker. The everyday chunker, who cares really. Truly fat folks should be shamed. For the benefit of their own health and cause it's gross for me to look at. If this bothers you put down the toblerone and go take a walk fatty.

Helmer and Dmac have some pretty generic tats if I recall. Tyler Bertuzzi's ink is at least somewhat unique. He's got the NHLPA symbol and a maple leaf over the heart and it says "No Gods" or something edgy like that. The one I never understood is Helm got "BERT" inside a heart on his arm. And he and Todd have some other matching tats. Lose a bet?... true love?
