Really hard to believe Simmonds got traded for Hartman and a 4th. Simmonds has declined a bit but he's still got I N T A N G I B L E S Is there something I'm missing with Hartman? He's younger but never seemed like anything special to me

Gustav Nyquist traded to Sharks for 2019 Second Round pick and 2020 3rd round conditional pick.

With Zuccarelo injured upon arriving in Dallas, apparently Nill is now shopping for top 6 forwards again. If Holland had waited maybe he could've pawned Goose off on Nill instead of SJ But again, Nill probably would've paid about the same like he did for Zucc. Sucks that there were so many good forwards available this year, but that's just how goes sometimes -
It's funny because they're going to lose their two biggest stars in Bob and Breadman this offseason (just like when Duchene arrived in Ottawa and they proceeded to lose Hoffman and Karlsson) and then they will tank hard after wasting a full draft year. Duchene is the horseman of the apocalypse. Never trade for Matt Duchene. I assume Yzerman gets the ring still for this season, no? Would be a nice feather in his cap. On the other hand I'd hate to see the Bolts win it next year, Stevies first time away from them and stuck with our dumpster fire.

I kinda like the Sharks and CBJ for the cup finals this year. Both all in and stacked at D and G... and now they've both added forward depth
-
Mcquaid to CBJ. Probably means they're done kicking the tires on Kronner now UPDATE: 4th and 7th going back to NYR Kypreos saying Mark Stone to Vegas almost a done deal CBJ now only has a 3rd, a 7th, and another conditional 7th in this draft. Like do you even keep scouting at this point?

Dreger reporting that Vanek, Howard, Glendening, and Kronwall are being shopped/asked-about Wings have to receive significant offer to consider moving Kronwall (unlikely to be traded) Same with Glendening (unlikely to happen) Vanek has to agree to the trade for it to happen (unlikely to happen) I honestly doubt Howard moves either -
Anybody else got a greasy finger print stain on that F5 key yet?

I don't disagree. You're describing a boom or bust project which Bowey is at this point. Very good chance hes nothing but a servicable bottom pair... but their remains a chance that he can rediscover his scoring and be more than that. Red Wings liked him in his draft year apparently. Also he is a cup champion at 23. Maybe he can teach our group of neutered nancys to win something for once. But at that end of the day his name is Madison. Thats a girls name. And i dont like that. No offence to your daughter KR -
For the x1000 time he's not a superstar. Prepare for the 4 year roller-coaster of him amounting to 2nd line duties. Hopefully we can get a good return for him in 2022 or whatever

Is weed legal in Michigan already? I honestly didn't know if true. Feel kinda bad for Holland. Recent bad contracts aside, and after what? 20 something years as manager, he now has to graciously concede to his former captain. I'm excited about Yzerman, but can't be fun for him. I look forward to seeing him in Seattle. Good deal for Jensen. Holland getting a 2nd rounder out of the deal is another feather in his cap for a man who's never had to rebuild before. Bowey seems like an Evander Kane type. Hopefully he can get his off ice issues in order and contribute. IMO I think the immediate extension by Washington for Jensen was a little rushed and shortsighted. Obviously they are praying he his is the next Kempny. I see the strategy being that they wanted to lock him up before his price goes up after a successful playoff run, but I would not have pulled that trigger myself. 4 years is long. Jensen could turn out to be their permanent 6/7 man and they will regret it if so. Kempny's are rare not the norm.
