Why didn't Athanasiou sign for 3 years $2M? It's still $6M, but allows for more cap flexibility. Athansiou's deal is not team friendly. Zetterberg has nothing to do with Larkin's contract, and Larkin's contract has nothing to do with Zetterberg. You're ranting about Holland lying about how many prospects will make the team, because Holland inked a contract with Larkin (a roster player) that we've been expecting for months? Baffling to say the least.

We've got some capable snipers on the team... Nyquist, Mantha, Zadina, Vanek, AA, FRk... We've got some capable playmakers on the team... Zberg, Larkin, Nielsen How many capable power-forwards do we have? Abdelkader? Ras is going to bring a much needed element to the forward group that we didn't have before. He's probably going to instantly become our best net front player. He'll be keeping defenders, and the goalie, busy down low, giving more time and space to our other skaters. If they don't put a BIG STRONG defender right on top of him down low, he's going to out muscle the small guys for positioning and light goalies up. In the corners we now suddenly have a strong/aggressive forward with long reach and size. It's gonna be great.

I'm very happy with our forward prospects At D we have some decent picks, but a #1 D may still be a need An area of weakness I see that no one seems to be talking about is the net. Mrazek failed and departed. Howard is aging. And Bernier is not going to carry us to anything. We have a few goalies in the pipeline, but none seem to be outstanding (granted goalie prospects are largely wild cards and very difficult to project) I rank Larsson as the front runner, but he will attend the University of Denver soon and probably won't be able to join the team until the 2023-24 season. Petruzelli was well liked on draft day, but has mostly fell short since. No one else seems worthy of note.

Would just like to point out... Chychrun finished his 2nd full season with 50 GP, a whopping 14 pts, with just over about 20 minutes played per night. So essentially on pace for a 23 pt season. Mr. old n slow Kronwall finished the season with 79 GP, 27 pts, with just over 18 minutes played per night. Take this as you see fit

I've seen two prospects be touted as generational in the last decade. And after watching game footage, I wholeheartedly agreed. Those two players are McDavid and Dahlin. If ya'll still need convincing on Dahlin, I will patiently wait. I'm quite happy to hedge my bets on this player. In my view Buffalo just drafted an Erik Karlsson that's good at defending.

Not sure why you are trying to convince me he was hyped, I've explicitly agreed he was certainly hyped already.
