I like Michael Rasmussen I enjoy watching Michael Rasmussen play hockey. He is my favorite Red Wings hockey prospect. When he is healthy, I think to myself "yes". When he is injured, I think to myself "no".

I get your POV it makes sense. The only spot I'd disagree with is that I don't think we are realistically in any real position to trade Mrazek. He's a terrible goalie on a significant cap hit (even with half salary retained). I just don't see anyone in the league with the willingness or capability to shoulder that burden, even for future considerations, especially when there are better options out there. The guys gonna be on a plane to the Czech Republic the moment the season ends. Therefore Ken has no real interest in showcasing him or upping his value, unless he suddenly and miraculously turns everything around, and even then he'd be deemed an incredibly inconsistent goalie to be cautioned against.

Helm actually has a better PPG pace than Draper, and Drapes played on much better Red Wings teams. Replace 90's/2000's Draper with our Helm, and our Helm with 90's/2000's Draper, and we'd be talking about the glory days of championship grind line Helm and how Draper isn't as good. It's all relative.

I agree with you here. 65 starts is only for a goalie of Lundqvist or Price caliber. Howard should be around 50-55 starts a season. The fact that he's on pace for 65 speaks to just awful Mrazek has been as a back up. If he was any good he would've earned more starts and Howard would be on pace for much less.

Howard has played a s*** ton because, for the most part, Mrazek has been completely awful. One of, if not the worst in the entire league.

I'd argue it's best for his trade value to never touch the ice.
