After reading more, Anderson and Kekalainen are only apart by 150K. That makes AA's 600K seem like a mountain. Gotta hand it to this agent, he's really scraping for every penny for his clients, but holy cow are his methods distasteful. KHL threats. Trade threats. He's making enemies that's for certain. -

AA and Josh Anderson have the same agent, FRICK -
Yeah I was thinking of Malik

True powerforwards actually hit 35 pts a season. He's more of a grinding type.

Come now, Europeans can't be gritty. That is a North American trait passed down by our ancient ancestors.

Nestrasil did pretty well in Carolina. They used him as a big body in front of the net and by all accounts they really liked having him in that role. Then he got injured, and when he finally came back they had already given his roster spot to another player. So he went back to the AHL with promises that they still really wanted him and would call him back up as soon as they could. That never happened, and he was pretty openly cheesed about it, which is why he jumped to the KHL. Had the injury not happened I think he probably would have been back with Carolina this year. Regardless, I think he and Frk are 4th line NHL players at best. And I'd rather have a 4th line of gritty PK types than a couple of Euros who just aren't skilled enough to play on a scoring line.

Doesn't Khan just copy/paste Red Wings news into his blog? KrSmith doesn't like the Daley signing because now Sproul doesn't have a roster spot and can't go to GR without being waived. Personally I agree with you. Sproul is a forgettable player, as is Frk.

No

Yes. It's easy when you're not a beta male.

Andre RN

No, not the same player. Different players. Both bottom 6 forwards who will be in Europe sooner than later though.

I see another Andrej Nestrasil.

Seems not all are happy with the the new home... https://mobile.twitter.com/AndreDrummond/status/912051237109030912 (Link works, but tweet has since been deleted) Perhaps the Red Wings should host a preseason basketball game?

Andersson leaving the NHL after the Playoffs

It's classic Scotty Bowman. And Babs probably learned it from watching Scotty's career. You go where the going is good, constantly looking for the next up-and-coming team. I think the most overrated thing about Scotty was his actual coaching, and the most underrated thing was his ability to always put himself in a winning situation. Babs caught the tail end of Lidstrom and Datsyuk and then immediately jetted for a bitter rival that was amassing a super brain trust. The foresight is strong in Babs and Scotty. -
So you have Witkowski and Booth on the roster just in case of emergency, and you call up Frk/Svech every chance you get?

He's got a ton of poise and composure under pressure for such a young player. He just doesn't panic at all, so he's making the correct decisions. I don't know all the details, but it sounded like he was just disappointed with his first college season and decided to make the change to juniors. As much as it's nice to see young guys commit to school, in the end it distracts from hockey, and if he really wants to be a professional hockey player I think this will be a good move for him. He will dominate juniors.
