Pretty sure DiPietro's contract is still on the books. Between that and the Yashin buyout Garth Snow is probably the dumbest dingus in the league.

I disagree. He's not a good guy... He's a GREAT guy.

Andersson leaving the NHL after the Playoffs
ChristopherReevesLegs replied to NerveDamage's topic in General
Joakim Andersson may be forced to retire at 28 Hip/back injury. He's made only one appearance for Örebro (the first game of this season) since leaving Redwings after the 15/16 season. He's listed as day to day but no one knows when and if he can play again. According to Aftonbladet these injuries might be enough to end his season and, with a second year without playing, it might essentially kill his career. Good luck Joakim -

I popped over to some Pens boards to see what their thoughts on the possible Sheahan for Pouliot (or whatever the return is) trade are. Not one of them seems even the least bit concerned or worried about letting Pouliot go. For that matter, they don't seem overly interested (or disinterested) in obtaining Sheahan either. They're conversations quickly broke down into discussing this Zaripov fellow who is a forward from the KHL (mentioned in the Friedman article I originally posted). I guess Malkin wants Pittsburgh to sign him, but Rutherford/Sullivan may not be fans, and therefore Sheahan is an alternative. They also seem way more interested in prying AA from us in a possible trade. "His tremendous speed would really fit our (the Pens) system"

No you dumby, you sign the deer. They obviously have good chemistry.
-
I also really want one of Svech or Dahlin. Though I'd settle for the youngest Tkachuk too.

Hossa's Career Might Be Over Already

LOL PLEASE -
I hate saying it, but Danny D is a young Kyle Quincey. Q wasnt worth 4 point whatever, and Dekeyser certainly isnt worth 5 no matter what role hes playing. Hope he can change my mind this year. This team needs superstar caliber players as pillars to build around. We cant keep overpaying mid teir players and expecting them to step up.

Holland loses Datsyuk and knows he needs a new superstar. Goes hard after Stamkos, but is unable to lure him out of Tampa Bay. Plan B: Give fat contract to the best friend of the next superstar that is going to hit the market. Frans Nielsen (thus applying a valuable lesson learned from the Parise/Suter BFF debacle). Fast forward to Tavares UFA year and Nielsen manages to be key in luring the superstar to Detroit. Holland has been playing 4D chess the entire time. We are not worthy.

I just didnt like that the plan was to stand-around and let Frk take a couple slappers

5 against. No life on the 2 man advantage. Help.

Rasmussen 2017/18 all star
-
We can reunite him with Weiss and the two can recreate that old Florida spark

Truth. He'd probably sooner lower his offer on AA to league minimum b4 doing that.
