Chris Ilitch has been running the Wings for a while, I guess because he loves hockey and Mike had more interest in the Tigers. Wings will probably stay in the family, but yeah I could see Gilbert purchasing the Tigs. The children seem disinterested in baseball. -

Didn't realize cap friendly went this deep into contracts, thanks. Only ever skimmed the site. -

His son Chris has been running the family business(s) for a while now. So nothing will really change besides the world being short one more great man. -

Hence why I'd like to know where he found it -

Didn't even get to see his arena finished RIP Mr. Ilitch, you were the illest owner in all of sport -
Anyway, this seems like pure speculation and overall unlikely. Pretty sure the Leafs are grooming Kyle Dubas to become their next GM.

The Wings just recalled him from GR. They probably have to do that to put him on LTIR? Or he's ready to come back. We'll know if Coreau goes down I guess.
-
Welp, i guess that means hes untradeable. Better trade the other goalie.

Whered you learn this about the 19 team clause? Yes good players on reasonable contracts with NTCs sometimes get moved. Many times at their own request. Ericsson is not a good player on a reasonable contract. I think we both agree on that. Its not impossible he be traded, but it's highly unlikely. And IMO I think youre really fooling yourself if you think it's going to happen. Just my 2 cents. -
Dont want him back, but cant help smiling whenever I see him. Hes a little cutie bean. The original Tomas Hertl.

Holland is destroying the team from within for the Leafs confirmed

Well hopefully he can return well rested in the fall. Bummer. -

True. Although I think you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who thinks he is worth his term and cap hit. We both agree he is not a good player. So why would a team desire him in a trade if pretty much everyone knows he's not good and a risk financially? My point is he's on a bad contract and has an NTC. This injury didn't suddenly make him untradeable. He's been untradeable for a long time. -

This changes nothing. We were never going to trade him. Not only does he have a No-Trade-Clause, but his cap hit and term are completely unpalatable to any other team. It's play for us or be bought out with him. -
Can We Please Stop Putting Teams In Unsustainable Cities?
ChristopherReevesLegs replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
Good luck with that, the people here would probably scream "cultural appropriation" at me for being American and liking hockey if they knew I did. It's nuts. Chris Hansen (billionaire hedge fund manager, not the to catch a predator guy) is the one making moves and pushing it. Not sure if Paul Allen has any interest. -

Dominating the DEL. Must be a non-hitting league. Germans have really gotten soft. -

I stand corrected. For some reason I was thinking Darko got drafted right after the championship. That championship run was awesome. -

Is that a Seattle Thunder Birds sweater? I really like those -
Poor Huds is not happy. He's having a rough season in Dallas after all that success in Calgary and Florida. I guess most guys are struggling in Dallas at the moment. The play was pretty flukey and not completely his fault. Still funny though.

Adding a HOF level QB can literally make a basement team a superbowl contender. That player is so important in football.
