I've made this point several times this season. Scouts have said this one of the weakest drafts in a while. There's no reason to bury ourselves and destroy our teams confidence to get a top 5 pick that looks more like a top 20 pick in most years.

I'm not super hype about Coreau or anything. But he's starting over Mrazek already though. Not sure why everyone is still so eager to defend Mraz on this. Comparing Smith to Mrazek? Sure I'll do that. Both turned out to be utter garbage despite the constant hyping from fans. They have that in common.

DK is a good anchor. Put him next to prime caps Green and hed look a lot better. Hes the type of player that compliments an offensively gifted mobile partner

I dont think you realize how it works. No Trade Clase, as in NO TRADE. Both your examples are crap. Kesler wanted to be traded as did St Louis lol. Howard IS the starter. Coreau IS the backup. Mrazek is completely out of work with this team. Thats how bad hes been. Howard doesnt need to be traded to be a #1 lmao

Players with NTCs only get traded when they want to be. This has been Howards home for a while now, he has kids, and hes the clear #1 goalie. Not goin anywhere. Hes 20th in ppg in the league. And 8th best RW in the league ppg wise. I guess you did miss it.

Yup Howard is mediocre. He's also an established league goaltender. Mrazek is doing god awful and has no such reputation to lean on. You seem very certain that Howard will definitely never win anything and Mrazek will definately bounce back. But you don't know either of those things. That's just what you would personally like to happen. You also seem to not understand what an NTC or NMC are.

Look at Brendan Smith. He's go wheels. Yet, I'd take Orpik over him everyday.

CHI: Seabrook and to an extent Hjalmarsson PIT: Dumoulin/Cole and to an extent Daley I don't think they all need to be Radko Gudas, Brook Orpik level... but you can't ice 6 Torey Krugs either. I more or less want 1 or 2 guys that do the opposite of Holmstroms job on the PK. And i'd be willing to sacrifice a little mobility on D to have that guy. I think Dekeyser can to an extent be that player for us going forward

The Ericsson-Marchenko tandem is bad one no doubt. They don't HAVE to be slow, but you do need some size and strength on D for when the other team is in the zone or on the powerplay. E doesn't use size or strength enough. I'm thinking Gudas, Byflugien, Ristolainen, Orpik, Zadorov, Klein, Boychuck, Phaneuf, Weber etc.

He's tied for 20th in the league in PPG. Pretty good considering our next best is Mantha who is tied for 73rd in the league. Keep this guy -

Agree on the forecheck. I want to see our forwards up high in the D zone in man coverage and leaving the zone early on turnovers. Utilize the speed to keep up on defence, and cash in on some odd man breaks. I like a mobile D but im not sure we have the personnel to pull it off yet. Jensen is certainly a good skater for a Dman. Ideally i want maybe 2 bigger slower D-men who can clear the crease and the rest mobile puck retreivers.

Rumor: Dave Lozo told Greg Wyshinski of puck daddy on his podcast that hes been told through unofficial sources that Wong (former isles owner) extended Snows contract by 10 years before selling his shares. If true would explain why they havent fired Snow
