Total agreement here. It boggles my mind that this team does not utilize our speed more effectively. We are not a slow group, especially at forward.

Howard's contract is muchhhhh more difficult to move with the amount of term and the NTC. He's also the better goalie. That leaves Mrazek as the odd man out. We cannot commit more money and term to Mrazek this offseason unless he's willing to take a big reduction in pay. Trade him while he's still young. Besides Helm all those players you listed have NTCs or NMCs. Those are the guys we're keeping like it or not.

Well he's the first German player to really make it in the NHL I think. So diversity for diversitys sake? Or maybe the HOF needed some size in their lineup? IDK, but your right. Krupp is a head scratcher. -
Outside of Zetterberg who on the team has been better than Vanek? Mantha maybe? Why are we opting to hold on to worse players like Nyquist and Tatar? Ship them out. Hold on to the stuff that actually works like Vanek. Hes probably got 5 good years left in him. Oh we can shed salary. Nyquist gone. Tatar gone. Mrazek gone. Jurco gone.

He's better than pretty much every young guy we've drafted and trained in the last 5+ years. But sure, unload him for that 2nd so we can draft another Martin Frk. Yeah not much a 5th overall pick who still scores at pretty much a ppg pace can do for us. Hopefully we can draft another Nyquist or Tatar and watch them stink 5 years from now with the pick we get for him.

Miller and Ott are not worth much. Smith should net at least something being a D-man. Ericsson and Howard both have an NTC, and I doubt DK is ever traded.

Vanek is one of the few forwards we have that is actually good. Would rather re-sign him in the offseason if he wants to stay. I think he easily nets a late first, not sure what yall are smokin.

Its already being reported that Florida has granted NYI permission to speak to Gallant. Gallant served as an assistant with NYI in the past.

We have more than enough centers. Nielsen, Larkin, Helm, Zetterberg, AA, Sheahan, Ott, Glendening Tatar is still RFA this offseason

Very specific, but E, Kronwall, and Abby all have NTCs in their contracts. It's very difficult to trade one of those, let alone 3. I wouldn't get your hopes up about trading with the Leafs. Not sure if swapping Tatar AND Nyquist for JVR is the best move anyway... Also Svechnikov blows

AA and Larkin need to move up the depth chart. If we're gonna be losing get those guys some extra minutes. Personally, I want Vanek and MANtha on the same line centered by Z. Then we'll at least have 15 minutes of interesting hockey to watch each night outside of AA breakaways
