Eichel has this weird stance/posture when skating where hes like always standing up straight. I mean i guess it works for him, but he looks like a weirdo curly headed bender out there. Too bad ROR is out. Hes my fav on that team. Rarely ever makes mistakes, well rounded text book hockey, no flash.

Youre not not going to gut your franchise without asking your owner first. Just like when Bowman wanted to trade Yzerman and Mrs Illitch was like heck na. Its one thing to make minor trades, its another to completely revamp the philosophy of ur business. You ask for the owners input.

The best players theyre going to get are vets on bloated contracts. Maybe a Hossa, Nash, or Evander Kane.

Howard is a league established starting goaltender. Mrazek is a 24 year old kid with terrible stats. Lets talk about value.

I dont get to many wings games anymore being in Seattle. I plan on seeing them in Vegas everytime theyre there. Theres a lot of wings fans probablly doing the same. Were scattered throughout the country with the way michigans economy has gone.

That WAS hollands goal. Once the streak is dead it will be his goal to return to contention. If he has even half a brain he will know that the same strategy of the last 6 years will need to be altered. Losing is the wake up call so to speak. Will be interesting to see what he does with it.

I dont disagree with u, but to be fair man its on you to provide evidence to prove your own point. Is it not every executives job to have the right brains around them? An executives job is to listen to all his people, weigh those options, then make the final decision. Im a director at my company, and while i dont get final say, i have heavy influence on my CEO. Im often asked to way "weigh in" on a decision. Sometimes my advice is taken, sometimes its not. You dont become a successful exec by being a yes man for 25 years. Bowman was a genius, but that shouldnt take away from Holland.

And just for the record, i wanted Yzerman to have Kens job back when. But it is what it is. Not sure whod we replace Holland with now which is scary.

And thats why i can see firing him. Hes handed out the contracts and NTCs that will make a rebuild very difficult for any GM. If starting fresh is a must i will understand. But also understand this may be his FIRST losing season ever. Would be a shame not to give a legendary GM a shot at navigating that. Weve never seen him do it. Maybe hed be good at it. No one knows.

Right. Im a bit on the fence about what to do after this season. Many want Holland to be fired (probs mostly the same crowd that have wanted him gone for 6 years now) but i think you at least give him the chance to navigate a rebuild for the first time ever and then force him into retirement in 2018 with honor when his contract expires if he refuses to do that or is unsuccessful rebuilding. I still believe this is a team that could retool and hit the post season again in the 17-18 season if neceassary changes are made. A full rebuild may still be unnecessary. Interesting times.

Except no ones arguing against anything u just said. Im pretty sure Kick and I both agree with everything u just said. We're not Holland slappies for the sake of it. Just saying the man deserves credit for his career. All the good AND all the bad. People around wanna act like 85 to 2003 he did nothing.

Some of us still want to win games. As does Blashill. Mraz has been god awful enough that I am A Ok trying out Coreau more and seeing what hes got. We are not exactly in a position where we can afford to throwaway games cause "development". If we dont come out strong after this break then yeah were screwed and Mraz can have his starter job back for all i care. Well when youve been mraz bad, youre gonna get on a short leash quick. Clearly the organization wants him to develop. He was the chosen one after all. But we cant just throwaway games bc of him either. Howard would have a lot more games played if his health had held up.

He was a scout for 5 years and director of scouting for 7 prior to 97. 12 years total. Holland helped build the 97 team fersure. He deserves some cred. And people act like Bowman literally did everything for the team. Then why was Holland even employed? Even if Bowman literally had final say on EVERYTHING, you think hes dumb enough to not listen to those around him? I bet you also think your favorite pop song was 100% just the artist who sang it. Get real.

Very complicated response to Dickies simple honest stats. Fact is Mrazek has sucked pretty badly and Howard has been dynamite. Thats it. Heck yeah im riding Howard if im Blash. Hes clearly the better goalie.
