I actually like that Glendening was a walk-on. It's a good story. Kid just worked hard and despite the odds proved himself. There was a time when Abdelkader was seen as only ever being a 4th liner. Perhaps Blash thinks he can do the same thing with Glendening that Babs did with Abby.

I think this narrative of "his message was no longer resonating, team needed a change anyway" is strange. The organization tried to retain him and lost. He broke up with us, not the other way around. I think he saw our roster going down hill quick, and an oppurtunity to jump on an up and coming team in a city that could make him legendary. And im sure the money helped that decision knowing he would have to endure a few years of losing in Toronto. -

I met Abby at U of M hospital 2 years ago. I remember being amazed at how yoked he was. Definately a PF. Ericsson was with him and looked like a string bean next to the guy.

9 is a forwards number Im all for unloading Howards cap hit. But he has that pesky MNTC and at this point Mraz isnt any better than he. And as of now there are better goalies available for LV than Howard. That might change though.
