Ugh. If Fabbri moves to center, I count 8 bottom 6 forwards on this team for 20-21. That's not incuding Erne, Perlini or anyone who spent the majority of 19-20 in Grand Rapids. Oh well. There will be injuries so I guess ther'es that.

I went back and looked at the last few lotteries. Considering the placeholder that originally won this year's 1st overall pick belonged to Winnipeg who had the 12th best odds, 12th best odds has won a top 3 pick 3 years in a row. I also find it funny that The Rangers and Jets have both moved up from 6 to 2 in previous lotteries, and now they essentially both won the lottery this year.

If Yzerman is taking Perfetti, I really hope it's for no other reason than him believing he's the best a available.

I personally don't see Cole Perfetti as a top 5 guy in this draft, but I'm preparing myself for him being the pick.

My only problem with the Rangers getting 1st overall is, as I mentioned earlier, that division has been WAY too lucky in the lottery that last 4 years.

So since Edmonton technically missed the playoffs, their picking top 15 in every round?

So does the 1st round draft order carry over to other rounds? I'd like to think we're getting a mid 2nd rounder from Edmonton instead of a late one.

Seems like 4th best odds actually gives you the best odds of picking in the top 3. 2016-Columbus moves up from 4 to 3. 2018-Montreal moves up from 4 to 3. 2020-Los Angeles moves up from 4 to 2. And then of course there's 2019... further evidence that the league is using the lottery to screw the Wings.
