I feel like I jinxed the Wings when I said I want the Blues to win a cup

Out of all the teams still alive, the last one to win a cup was Boston back in 2011. So we're gonna have a Stanley Cup Champion that hasn't won in at least 8 years. Refreshing to say the least.

Worst case scenario for the Wings is San Jose beating Colorado then losing in the Western Conference Final. That would give us a 2nd round pick at either 59th or 60th overall, and only get us a 3rd rounder for next year.

So you want to hurt the Wings' draft position? I mean I'm okay with the Sharks going to the final because that turns a 3rd round pick next year into a 2nd, but there's no reason for any Wings fan to want the Isles to advance beyond round 2.

Unfortunately, I can't see Colorado beating San Jose, so the Sharks may as well go to the final and turn that 3rd round pick next year into a 2nd. Then again, I'm pretty sure no one saw Columbus sweeping Tampa.

Point would be major upgrade over AA, so I'd be fine with it. -
We'll know exactly what position those picks are at at the end of the playoffs or earlier if neither SJ or NYI get past round 2. Speaking which, how much would it suck of it's the Sharks and Isles in the final.
