Holland said he considers this draft class a top 3 as opposed to a top 2. Wonder if the captain feels the same
-
Unfortunately, I can't see Colorado beating San Jose, so the Sharks may as well go to the final and turn that 3rd round pick next year into a 2nd. Then again, I'm pretty sure no one saw Columbus sweeping Tampa.
-
Anything that allows Byram to fall to 6 is ok with me
-
I just realized that Janmark and Jarnkrok are on opposite sides in this series.

2019 Offseason Rebuild Thread, Pt. 2 - What's the Yzerplan?

Kucherov and Point we're drafted during his tenure. He also acquired Ryan McDonanugh at last year's deadline. -
When the last time the 8th seed in both conferences got past round 1?
-
We really need WSH or CAR to beat the Isles now

Point would be major upgrade over AA, so I'd be fine with it. -
We'll know exactly what position those picks are at at the end of the playoffs or earlier if neither SJ or NYI get past round 2. Speaking which, how much would it suck of it's the Sharks and Isles in the final.
-
Crisis averted, the Griffins clinch! Now they just need to get their **** together for the playoffs. Edit: Veleno and McIssac are going head to head in the QMJHL conference finals.
-
How about then Griffins right now. On the verge of choking away a playoff spot. Also, is there anyway to unquote someone.
-
Also, I posted in the wrong thread again

Could you imagine if CBJ goes up 2-0 only to lose 4 straight to the eventual champion 2 years in a row?

4/9 2019 Draft Lottery GDT - Red Wings vs The World - 8:00 PM ET (NBCSN)

I was doing some math last night and realized that the metropolitan division has had 6 of the 12 top 3 picks in the last 4 draft lotteries. -
Nope. Outside of the final four, teams pick based on their position in the standings. The pick only gets worse if they get past the 2nd round.
-
Agreed. I used to hate teams that found ways to consistently beat the Wings despite us being better than them on paper, but now the Wings are one of those teams. The Isles going out in round 2 doesn't affect the pick at all actually.
-
Remember when I said that game against New Jersey that I said was the definition of must lose? Well it turns out if we lost that game, New Jersey would have finished with 74 points and we would have gotten 72. So that win cost us our choice of Hughes or Kaako.
-
Lol. I didn't realize what thread I was posting that comment to. My bad.
-
I honestly want no part of the Isles in the final four. Let's not forget that their 2nd round pick belongs to us
-
I don't expect we'll have much beyond our top line next season.
-
I swear every time I change someone just scored
-
Could Larkin, Turcotte, Veleno possibly be our equivalent of Crosby, Malkin, Staal?

I think I can safely say I'm over it now. I've already put my created Jack Hughes in New Jersey's system -

I don't know why people are surprised about Chicago moving up from 12 to 3. This is the 3rd year in a row that something similar has happened. It's at the point where I'm expecting it to happen every year as long as they continue to use this format. -

These last 3 years have shown me that the Wings odds will always be less than what their actually listed as, because there will always be someone who moves up from out of the top 10 to get a top 3 pick. Also, the team with best odds has picked either 1st or 4th in all 4 years of this lottery format.
