People like to say that finishing last doesn't guarantee anything, but this is the 2nd time in 3 years the worst team got the top pick. -
But if Vegas makes it to the final 4, the pick we get from them is going to be worse.

Coupled with the fact that we're not getting Dahlin, Vegas going up 2-0 on the Sharks would make this a really bad day.

Can you imagine if Montreal gets Dahlin? All we had to do was lose to the Islanders and have the Habs get a point on the second to last day of the season, and that pick would be ours. -

Our lottery odds will be determined on Saturday. Wings win and Canucks lose-6th best odds Canucks win and Habs and Coyotes both lose-5th best odds Wings lose and 1 of Habs or Yotes win-4th best odds Wings lose and Habs and Yotes both win-3rd best odds. -
Of course. Now that Ottawa is guaranteed to finish lower than the Wings, they win. They also faced the worst team in the league so I guess there's that.
