Wings are not a contender for the rest of Ericssons contract. Would rather pay 4.2 for the next 3 yrs than get hit with a 2.8 mil cap hit for the next 6 yrs when the Wings might actually need that space to resign core players or bring in new players when they are a competitor again. Makes no sense to buy him out. Even sending him down and taking the bigger cap hit for 3 yrs is a better option. -

Could be wrong, but if Rass was NHL ready, wouldn't he be on the team? He's cheap and this team has a cap problem, so why keep him down if he really is ready? -

So apparently you can't use the name of an Amy Shumer/Goldie Hawn movie in your post without it being filtered LOL. So I will edit this. Which Is really smart to do It that way since there will be alot more tempting players to claim besides Booth. Less likely to get claimed now then If he waited to do It after the season started.

Can the Wings sign Booth to a 2 way contract and then send him to GR without clearing waivers when Bertuzzi is healthy or do 2 ways only affect the cap differently?

So glad to see that Rasmussen is playing well in preseason. I was concerned before because he just looked awkward, lanky and somewhat out of his element during training camp. I didnt want to say too much about it at the time because I liked the pick and didnt want to start a hate-fest on the guy. He still needs to bulk up, but I dont think 2C is out of the question down the road.

Isn't that also a goalie technique? The NHL in China could work because, like alot of the world, the US is viewed as an unfriendly state politically, but anything seen as "American" is popular socially. Wouldn't the Wings jersey color scheme make them a more popular team?
