The guy has played one game in the last six weeks. If Yzerman didn't view him as a project I doubt he would have layed down the claim. If the Wings can make him into a NHL regular thats a huge win and the defensive left side is as of right now totally bare going in to next season. -

Under, I hope. I agree with your plan. LHD needs reinforcements bad and the 2C hole needs filling. If Stephen can’t get Trochek or Hertl, Copp could be a good(and cheaper) option.

Im not too fond of the idea of putting an all u25 d-corps out there. Lindholm fits very good age wise and paying a bit extra shouldn’t be a problem either in the coming years. Yes, we got loads of potenial LHD coming in soon but we got absolutely no one right now. Is Lindholm even considered an offensive defenseman? Asking bc comparisons to Hronek and Gustafsson Has McIsaac been good(and healthy) enough this season to warrant talks of him being a NHL regular next season?
