The guy has played one game in the last six weeks. If Yzerman didn't view him as a project I doubt he would have layed down the claim. If the Wings can make him into a NHL regular thats a huge win and the defensive left side is as of right now totally bare going in to next season. -

I don't really have any expectations either. But if they're just looking for a stop gap shouldn't they go for a more safe bet? Juolevi has played a total of 10 games this season. -

Could be a good claim. The talent is there. Canucks fans says he got poor work ethic. Panthers fans says his body is broken. Those two are probably related if the former is true. Lets fix him. -

Under, I hope. I agree with your plan. LHD needs reinforcements bad and the 2C hole needs filling. If Stephen can’t get Trochek or Hertl, Copp could be a good(and cheaper) option.

Im not too fond of the idea of putting an all u25 d-corps out there. Lindholm fits very good age wise and paying a bit extra shouldn’t be a problem either in the coming years. Yes, we got loads of potenial LHD coming in soon but we got absolutely no one right now. Is Lindholm even considered an offensive defenseman? Asking bc comparisons to Hronek and Gustafsson Has McIsaac been good(and healthy) enough this season to warrant talks of him being a NHL regular next season?

Adam Erne should have been traded last TDL as a rental. Had a great season, almost 0,5ppg. Red Wings definitely have taken another step this season in their rebuild thanks to Raymond, Ned and Seider coming in and Larkin going beast mode. Going into this season Yzerman probably planned on acquiring as many picks as he could at TD from role players and I hope he hasn’t changed his mind. Namestnikov, Erne, Staal etc should all be available imho.
