Ideally I’d like Yzerman to find a LHD to fit with older group and of course a center for the younger.

DeBrusk aint a 0.5ppg right now. Thats why Boston is willing to accodommate his trade request. And with a coach not willing to give him any chances they are selling low. Not really that interested in him to be honest but if you dont have to give up too much it could be a good trade. He has scored a good amount of goals in the past and he can find opportunity here to bounce back.

I would find him more entertaining if he wasnt so dumb. I have absolutely no problem with him being a homer. I imagine Ken and other announcers thinking "Come on, Jack, the rest of us are trying to make this a respectable profession". -

It could certainly backfire but there were som talks about how the Canes and Kotka had an understanding that his next deal wouldn't be as high as what they gave him to pry him from Montreal. Maybe not enough ice time - in his opinion - makes him feel that he doesn't need to honor that.
