Kip, I respect you, but you're not winning points insulting me. He's a career minus player that scores a point every THREE games and has the lowest possession metrics of his career this year. I'm willing to give you that he's great when he plays well. I'm not willing to give you that he plays well on a per game basis that Seider and Larkin play well. He's 24 and getting better every year, so I completely understand your point and enthusiasm. I just disagree with you that he's reached prime Kris Draper level shut down forward level. He hasn't. He looked COMPLETELY LOST against Edmonton and invisible against Vancouver. Again, not saying that defines him. Just saying that he needs to look strong 9 out of 10 games and ok the one he is off before we should sing his praises. You know how I act on here. VERY SPUR OF THE MOMENT. I call out guys (Even Seider) when they are not performing to their abilities. And Ras doesn't do it enough.

I dont feel that way. Schedule starting tonight gets pretty rough. Teams will be playing more aggressive. We lose Compher, Larkin, or Ras AND have our 35% corsi for D specialist pair still out there, we are in for some rough sledding. Petry - Chiarot jeopardizes the entire season, tbh.

If we call up Edvinsson and replace Petry with him, then play the following D pairs in this order: Walman-Chiarot Edvinsson-Holl Maatta-Gost we will have a great shot at making the playoffs. The more we introduce Chiarot and Petry into games against playoff calibur teams (like tonight), the greater chance we miss. Our forward group is great. Our D group could be solid as well. Bit our GM and coach have to ice our best guys.
