Larkin MADE Tyler Bertuzzi. Simple as that. Zadina was never made. He's still an associate. The BIG PROBLEM the Red Wings have right now is Andrew Copp for 3 more years at 5.75 million and Ben Chiarot for 2 more years at 4.25 million. That's 10 million bucks of unnecessary expense at this point. Copp is not the guy we thought he was. He's a huge disappointment. Chiarot is chewing up minutes while our lazy eyed, goofy looking Scando Swedegards get ready, so I don't have too much of an issue with him at this point. But it would be nice to unload a year of his contract if possible. Going to be a tough task for SY at the upcoming deadlines to trim these 2 pieces of dead wood.

Petry + Chiarot is the WORST possible pairing the Wings could put on the ice. So Lalonde plays them all the time. Go figure.

The only thing completely screwing up your argument is that the 6th defenseman that really isnt good at defense but has some other quality that's occasionally helpful comes at a price tag of 1 million. Not 4.75. Thats my beef. Chiarot is getting paid to play EFFECTIVE DEFENSE from 1B to 2B. And he's failing miserably at playing effective defense. 2.5 more years = yuck.
