I'm not getting on your case, seriously. When you say affordable that's just your opinion and not stating what value that truly means. Zegras is not close to Robo or Peterka or Byram etc, although for that price I would have matched that for sure. What do you really think either of these 3 players would cost? Wheeler (post above) has Chychrun as his comparable. The kid as the size and skill, but is lacking the noodle. I worry that as the game gets faster, his lack of processing will fall further behind. Smart kids make the game slow down.

I think Larkin would garner a tonne more than you're stating, plus our disgruntled captain just wants to see more committment to winning. Buffalo would want players instead of high picks back and the same with Minny. Since both teams would be asking for Kasper in return maybe offer sheeting the two forwards is a better idea?

There's always one dink GM that wrecks it for anyone making a realistic offer for Petey. (Compher+Ras+2nd) I would hope SY puts forth the effort to get him without going overboard. At some point the Nucks will take that offer or similar, unless that one dink GM appears. His full NTC comes in effect July 1st as well. VCR would want to move him before then wouldn't they?
