Cotton will never make it in this org as a d but could make it as a w. He has a bomb of a shot and nose for the net should go the reverse Ericsson route and switch to rw.

Edvinsson Johansson Soderblom and Andreasson are all NA bound Wallinder should be NA bound imo but will probly stay in SHL for another season. Niederbach will def spend another season in SHL.

This team doesnt need to trade for young LHD this team needs a stopgap top4 LHD. Edvinsson will be top pair Wallinder/Johansson should be mid pair the other/Mcisaac/Sobrango/Buium should be bottom pair. If SY trades major pieces it should be for C not D imo.

The last thing this team should be trading for is young LHD.

Unlikely tho still possible Chicago/New Jersey could pass us in the standings. We have to lose our remaining 3 games in regulation and both teams would have to win there remaining 4 games. NJ have to 3 of 4 ROW. Chicago win in OT tonight would be nice.

A lottery win would have a big impact unless you dont think Wright will be an impact player. If we add Wright Edvinsson any possibly Soderblom this offseason I dont think were in the running for a top10 pick next year. A FA signing and trade on top of that and we could be a playoff team imo.

It depends on what happens on May 10. If we win the draft lottery and take Wright Yzerman should jumpstart this rebuild. sign Forsberg trade for Chychrun. If we dont win the draft lottery we need to be bad enough next season to have a shot at Bedard. In this case resign Gagner and Staal hell even top pair Dekeyser for another season.

If GR was going to make the playoffs Id be excited about this. Since there not I hope Frolunda can turn things around and go on a run. Yzerman will be signing Soderblom and Edvinsson and probly Wallinder this summer anyway.

I dont think SY intends to fix things to much until after the Bedard/Michkov draft and for good reason imo. Those 2 could be every bit as good as Crosby/Ovi/McDavid/Matthews. If we can get a top 10 pick this year and still have a chance at a top 2 next year we should be ready to compete soon thereafter. This team still lacks that true gamebreaker elite talent. Bedard/Michkov will be that. Fire Blashill it needs to happen. Other then that sign a few stop gaps for one more season of s***.

You said Zadina isnt suitable for the 4th line. I agree. So you think Gagner will be on the team producing at the same level in 2-3yrs? no. Sundqvist is a far worse skater then Holmstrom and Samuelsson combined. Sundqvist sucks. Ive seen the bs about Zadinas draft position a number times. The ironic thing is that his draft position is exactly why all the haters are so eager to give up on the kid. Zadina is 22yrs old cost controlled playing like a 3w and will get paid like a 3w. Why dip into free agency to replace what you already have for an older player and for more money? Z is having a rough season. No argument here. give him another season under another coach and see what he can do. The tools are there see if he can put it all together. Why the haste to get rid of him?

Lol Gagner Erne Smith Stephens are all fillers. none are better then Zadina 2-3 years from now which is what this team should be looking at. Sundvist has no place on this roster beyond this season. Trash player. Zadina is a top9w on this team has played like a top9w on this team and will be a top9w on this team in 2-3yrs from now.

Ya I dont think anybody would dispute that Zadina hasnt produced enough this season but there are another 8-10 players on this team that also havent been close to good enough. Every fan base needs a whipping boy tho I get it but for whatever reason Zadina has become that for most Wings fans. Still only 22yo tho look at the progression Rasmusen made from his d+4-d+5 season. Lets see if Zadina can make a similar jump after this season especially if we get rid of Trashill.

Imo opinion it will be some where around $2m. I could see Yzerman working his magic getting him as low as $1.7m which would be fantastic.

You might be right that Zadina hasnt earned $2m but he has def earned over $1m. It likely falls somewhere in the middle on a 1/2yr contract.

Your guess is as good as mine but if he ever makes it likely just as a backup imo.
