Yah Veleno has been real solid the past few weeks. When he was drafted I thought he was destined to be 3/4c but if he keeps up his current level of play I think he could be a 2c. imo hes been our best c behind Larks. Give him better linemates then Smith/Gags/Rowney and he will produce more.

Both can still grow neither are fully developed. Unfortunately we will lose the Cossa vs Wallstedt battle just like we lost the Zadina vs Hughes battle. In a redraft Id take Hughes and Wallstedt. Id trade Zadina and Cossa today but neither would have the value of there 6oa/15oa picks.

I did judge Zadina. Hes been bad.

Zadina hasnt been good. I think his biggest issue ironically enough is his shot. Every shot he takes gets blocked by a defenders body or stick. He either rushes his shot or waits to long to get it off. Either way for a guy that was going to 'fill nets with pucks' hes been rather disappointing. I still believe he could grow tho. I dont think 22yo Zadina is in his final form and I dont think he ends up back in europe. He will carve out a mid6 role for a few years yet just not sure if that will be in Detroit or somewhere else.

Joking aside the biggest gaffe by Yzerman to date is Cossa over Wallstedt. Cossa sucks. Wallstedt is the real deal Lundqvist 2.0.

The pp started out hot and looked halfway decent last game but besides that it has been a steaming pile of trash imo. Terrible entries not enough player movement too much time spent on the outside awful shot selection adequate puck retrievals. The only saving grace is having 2 young super stars Seider and Raymond playing 70% of the time. Also Tanguay is too bald.

I dont care if its today or this summer it needs to happen sometime before next season. Trashill has clearly lost the room anyone would be an upgrade over this schmuck. With all our Swedish players coming over in the next couple years id like to see Rikard Gronberg given a look.
