Id say its more likely that 0/3 will be in Detroit next season then 3/3. Edvinsson 50% Mcisaac 10% Sebrango <1% Juolevi has a better chance then all 3 imo.

I agree on Franzen comp. Soderblom is gonna look real nice on line1 with Larkin and Raymond in a couple yrs.

Theres a rather large different between a 25yo and 20yo in the nhl. Im sure Larkin was sheltered quite a bit more when he was younger aswell.

You dont trade Hronek unless a team is going to overpay dont trade a 24yr old top4 rd for picks. Theres no rd in the system to replace Hronek. Hes been a consistent .5pt/g defenseman since he entered the league 4yrs ago thats not being replaced. rd is looking good with Seider-Hronek-Lindstrom ld needs work but with Mcisaac Edvinsson Johansson Wallinder soon ready both sides should be in good shape. Rasmussen and Zadina are both young 22yrs old and show promise. You dont trade assets when there stock is low. The only reason fans dont like Ras and Z because they were high picks. If they were both later picks nobody would say squat. Comparing them to Raymond and Seider is absurd no player coming back in return is going to compare to those players. What would you get for Rasmussen now? a 3rd? thats terrible asset management. Hold on to them and hope Ras can be a huge shutdown 3/4c and Zadina can be a 2way 2w.

Im not sure if Zadina will ever live up to the draft day hype but removing the 6oa tag am I the only one that thinks hes been decent? Far from great but good enough to fill a mid6 role imo. If he were a 3rd round pick would anyone be s***ting on him? Probly not. I remember alot of fans bashing Larkin the same way there bashing Zadina now. Not saying Z will ever have the impact that Larks has but I still say its too early to give up on the kid. Just my 2cents but what do I know.

Zadina wasnt even the cause of either of those 2ga both were on Erne. Im far from a Zadina apologist he hasnt been good enough plain and simple but hes far from the problem. Hes generating as much or more then anyone on the team but still needs to bury some of those chances.

Id lean Holloway over Broberg because we need c's but I think your selling Broberg a bit short. I think he would be our 2nd best LD behind Edvinsson. Johansson and Wallinder are close but Broberg is better imo.

I said no to your original trade package which included Greiss and Ryan and had a 1st not Broberg. I said Broberg in that deal makes more sense then the 1st. This team doesnt lack depth players they lack good depth players. None of the players in discussion are better then the depth players we already have. My hangup isnt taking on bad players its taking on bad players without proper compensation. We agree the picks coming back are fair value taking salary retention in consideration so if edm need to shed salary it should cost them more. imo that would be bumping that 1st to Broberg/Holloway.

That sounds more like a Holland problem then a Yzerman problem. I dont think Yzerman will be in the business of helping out another gm even his old buddy Kenny by taking bad players. This team eventually needs to stop signing bad filler players and go after some big name ufas. We dont need Turris Ryan or Koekkoek. Also need to start targeting prospects rather then picks so yea Broberg makes more sense imo.

Turris and Ryan are s***tier versions of Gagner and Koek is a s***tier version of Oesterle. Why would we take on s***tier versions of players we already have with no extra compensation? If you think Leddy Namestikov and Greiss are worth those picks imo we shouldnt be taking on bad players/salary. If Oilers arent willing to give up a young player/prospect Id look for a different trade partner even if its 3 seperete trades. Just my 2 cents.
