And this is DCat clearly driving the push to become a Wing. Great and all, but you wernt in our plans Farmington Hills boy. Eat some term or ur not coming home.

He's 26 in Dec. Ideally I dont want his extension to take him much past 30. 6 years max.

Vernon is HOF bound. Ahead of Ozzy and Hank. Wha?

I agree with you. 40 goes up. 13 and 91 will never.

If I had to build a team around either Dats or Z, I choose Dats everytime.

Zadinas underlying fancy stats are actually really good, he's just snake bitten at the moment

Carolina bringing a player back within 12 months with salary retained i guess can be considered cap circumvention

Dats is probably my fav player of all time, and i dont think 13 ever goes in rafters. Cant leave on bad terms.

I like the way the wings do things. If there's any question you shouldnt get ur number retired, you dont get ur number retired. Which is why Feds and Dats remain out. I would operate the HOF the same way. But youre right it is like the rock n roll HOF. Every hack with a few pop hits gets in.

Right The only ones who debate Osgood are wings fans. Wings fans dont even debate Vernon. But now everyone loves Vernon after not talking about him or caring for 30 years. Go team go.

Pretty much. I think we should go all in on 2 wingers (to replace Bertuzzi and Vrana), 1 Dman (to replace Hronek), and 1 budget backup goalie. The other spots 2-4 spots will have to be filled by cheap ass players. Grabbing the right guys is essential.

Hey TBL season ticket holder who sits right behind the bench and heard DeAngelo say slurs there. Good to see you again. You're right. I had it in my head that expiry for RFA was 26. Change Raymond to 3 year term and Berggren to 1. Happy liar?

If you were to ask me who are the best goalies of that era are, my brain goes Hasek, Brodeur, Roy without even thinking. Those are the HOF guys IMO. You'd have to mention Vernon to me, and only then would I be like "oh yeah he was pretty decent too"

We have $56.5 against the cap with an 18 man roster (Kasper + Eddogg + Sodastream + Veleno @ $1.8 mil on the roster) That's $5.4 available per open roster position. Certainly a lot of money. But with extensions on the horizon (and assuming Kuba and Perron are sold) we have $61.5 against the cap next year with a 16 man roster (Kasper + Soda + Ed + Veleno still included). That's $3.14 per position. I'm just saying we should stick to that budget on any deal going beyond 1 year. And of course we can cheap out at some roster spots to use that money on others.
