>believing the wings will ever have a legit 2C -
Seems to be a trend with Seider and now Kasper. "Some scouts question his offense" = SY guy.

"Top Austrian U20 players: 1. Jan Klausman 2. Maximillian Fleisch 3. Adolf Eichman 4. Heintz Guber 5. Fredrich Ohlund 6............. Austria is excited to field this excellent team!" *** Marco Kasper was not included in this list because this is a list for amateur's and he is a pro

What if we exercise the 8th year on Bertuzzi to keep him? He would begin his final season at 35, and end it at 36. Also Roope Hintz just extended for $8.45 x 8. He's a fresh 26. Good comparable for Larkin and Bert. Bertuzzi 7.5x8 Larkin 9x8
-
Just curious why? He was a beast in the WHL last year and I've personally never been down on this player
-
Oh god Larkin is gonna string us along and sign with CBJ isnt he
-
Bo Horvat can suck my baby dick Only way Bert is "good as gone" is if he's a pure merc who's only after the money. If that's the case so be it, but im not wholly convinced yet that it is. SY can afford to keep both, even at overpayments, with a good amount of cap left over. So really it comes down to Bertuzzi and if he wants to be a Wing, or if he wants a bidding war for his services this summer. And there will be a bidding war if the rumors from the last TDL are any indication.

Kubalik has far and away been the best UFA pickup leaguewide so far. But Im more of the opinion that we should sell high on this guy. Im not convinced these numbers are sustainable at this level yet. If either isnt signed by jan 1st thatll be a real bad sign for them leaving. Without Larkin the whole rebuild resets IMO.

I see the callup order for prospects like this: Forwards: 1. Andreasson 2. Pearson 3. Kasper Defense: 1. Edvinsson 2. McIsaac 3. Sebrango After Andreasson its got to be Pearson. Hanas is a bit too young and unpolished still. But we might never see Pearson get his cup of Joe if he gets outplayed by Hirose, Luff, and Czarnik... Kasper I expect will start next year in GR and will likely leapfrog Hanas pretty quickly. On the D, I figure its Sebrango next in line after McIsaac. But Sebrango gonna have a lot of competition for that spot next year with Wallinder probably coming over and Johansson gaining expierence.

You know, they say all teams are created equal, but you look at the Wings and you look at the Leafs, and you can see that statement is not true! See, normally if you go one-on-one with another team, you got a 50-50 chance of winnin’. But Filip Hronek is a genetic freak, and not normal, so you got a 25% at best at beatin’ him! And then you add Ville Husso to the mix? Your chances of winnin’ drastically go down. See, between those two, at LCA, you got a 33 and 1/3 chance of wiinnin’. But the Wings got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, cause Auston Matthews KNOWS he can’t beat the Wings, and he’s not even gonna try! So, Mitch Marner, you take your 33 and 1/3 chance, minus Husso's 25 percent chance, and you got an 8 and 1/3 chance of winnin’ at the LCA! But then you take Kubalik's 75 perchance chance at winnin’, if we was to go one-on-one, and add 66 and 2/3 ch… percents, the Wings got a 141 and 2/3 chance of winnin at the LCA! See, Tavares McPajamaboy; the numbers don’t lie, and they spell disaster for you at the Pizza Palace! -

The team didn't give up and completely fall apart per normal the last few years. I'll take it. Derek is overplaying Husso now and should be fired. -
Don't look now, but after only scoring 1 pt in the first 7 games for the Griffs, Pontus Andreasson now has 12 pts in the last 10 games. I expect him to be the next Griffs callup. Just turned 24 at the end of August.

If he shows up in red we defeat racism once and for all. If he shows up in blue we sign Mitch Miller. -
Robin Lehner was traded a few years after his drug/alcohol problems in Buffalo. Buffalo let him go UFA and then he signed a 1 year with the Isles, then a 1 year with the Hawks who flipped him at the TDL to Vegas. I don't remember if he actually entered official NHL assistance program with Buffalo, but he was pretty public about his issues and I know he went to rehab for it. Without speculating, I'm not really that worried about Vrana. All these guys use painkillers to one extent or another, and a lot of them abuse cocaine/alcohol recreationally. It's not like Vrana's career was going into the gutter like Bobby Ryan and THEN he decided to get help. He was in his prime and playing well, but recognized he had a problem he needed to fix. Which is good. I guess the worry is that he might be another Hudler. Party animal that brings coke on planes, drinks himself stupid, and buys hookers in every town. If that's the case I trust SY to handle it. Stevie seems to have a very low tolerance for BS. I can see him telling Vrana you either get into the PA program now or you're done in Detroit. And if he can't keep his nose clean after this good riddance. Trade him for what we can get. We have plenty of good wingers. The trade tree for that right now looks like this in terms of what everyone received: WSH: Mantha DET: Vrana + Sundqvist + Walman + Staal + Gagner (90%) + H. Verbeek + DAL 1st (Cossa) + WSH 2nd (Buchnelikov) + VAN 2nd (Niederbach) + LAK 4th (Stange) + STL 2nd DAL: WSH 1st (Johnston) + NYR 2nd (Grushnikov) + OTT 5th (Bar) NYI: EDM 2nd (Raty) + Richard Panik (50%) STL: Leddy (50%) + Witkowski EDM: Athanasiou + Kuffner NYR: Future Considerations LAK: EDM 2nd (Faber) + Schaller + Madden MTL: Merrill VAN: Toffoli We walked away with a very nice haul from all those trades.

Edvinsson - has been playing VERY well in GR. Hitting the score sheet almost every night. But he got covid recently and missed some time. Think he's back now, but I haven't seen him play since his return. Fabbri - Maybe someone can correct me, but I don't think he's expected to return until after Christmas. Another ACL injury. Will be interesting to see if he's still the same player when he returns. I honestly would not re-sign him after this contract based on his injury history. This last extension was probably a mistake. Vrana - Once a player enters the assistance program they have to be in it and sout for a min of 30 days. That time has already passed and he's still not back, which is concerning. Speculation is it's cocaine (from his time with the caps), pain killers (because of his injuries), or alcohol (common reason). He could be back tomorrow. He could be out all season. No one has a clue, and maybe not even the Wings either.

Well guess that was a wasted signing

Wait did someone at the Wings actually get Osgood's birthday wrong? Like, he's not 62... -
Would SY really claim him just to waive him again? It's clear at this point SEA or OTT would just claim him again... Maybe he's going to compete for the backup spot with Ned? Trade Ned at the deadline..?
