Puck luck. And the refs were after Kane the entire series too. Took McD and Oilers out at the knees.
-
Series would have been a total 180 with a healthy draisatl
-
Yea cause that was a penalty Kane-McD-Drai is the best forward line in hockey. Hard to believe you dont win the cup every year with that top line. All the bounces are going the Avs way though. Not to mention the zebras seemed to have it rigged for Colorado this year... Calgarys top line couldnt matchup. Not enough fire power on that roster.
-
Oilers not soft. Coach soft. Should be sweeping the Avs right now, but Wood is BLOWING the matchups and assignments.
-
Woody sucks. Reason why Oilers are down.
-
Avs have gotten too cocky. I predict 4 straight wins from the Oilers.
-
I let the doubters get to me and held back 1 degree on Seider. Lesson learned. Im Glebbing hard.
-
No doubt McD is the best in the world, but Draisatl is even better.
-
You will come to know Gleb as I have
-
Are there any Russians at the combine?

wHy dO wE EVeN dRAfT? Again, you exaggerate and commit straw man. If you have 5 solid pillar players you don't NEED to hit on anything in the later rounds, as you suggest. You dont even have to hit on your 1sts at that point. I'll let you do the math on why that is.
-
>You need to draft good in all rounds I thought we drove the r slurs nerds and youth from this board long ago
-
>no team builds around just 1st round picks >ya you build around your first round picks Yawn
-
"Chilly willy" ... Smash his head in with ball peen hammers
-
Ur jumping to extremes here. Im not suggesting drafting in the later rounds doesnt take skill. Im saying its statistically unlikely these players will ever play, enough that you shouldnt count on these picks in your grand strategy. Land your 1sts and everything else is bonus.
-
Its a little like saying we should score as many goals as we can right? Surprise it needs to be said. Not really. My point was that if you can nail your 1sts your golden. You should still do all you can in later rounds, its just a crapshoot down there.
-
Yeah but its the sole reason hes a cult favorite. And he knows it. He plays it up to stay relevant. Its kinda pathetic at this point, but hey, i guess it works. Without Lemieux hes a washed up version of Maltby without a post playing career drinking strohs on a bar stool in wyandotte.

Im Glebbing again. Word is Glebs agent is a very anti-Russia guy. This bodes well for him coming to NA. We would probably have to stick him in GR for a few seasons as hes so young and raw. Hes probably the least NHL ready of all the potential 1st rounders, but the trade off is he probably also has the highest cieling long term. If we commit to patience with him he could be our Kucherov.
-
Dont really care what round they come from. Just gotta draft as many as we can. So far SY hasnt whiffed on any first rounders, which is big considering Hollands history of choices. At least make those 1sts count big and the draft is a sucess. Everything after is a bonus. If we can nab another piece on the same level as Ray, Ed, and Mo this year we will be sitting pretty pony boy. There will be plenty of Wallinders, Johanssons, Cossas, Berggrens, and Soderbloms to fill in the gaps after that 1. Acquire multiple $10 mil forwards 2. Put them all on the same line 3. Ignore the rest of the roster 4. Profit

Al Murray is supposedly the brains over there. Dont think we or Verbeek will be getting him.
-
Id trade the 8th overall for Buffalos 16th and 28th, plus maybe more. Take Gleb at 16. Lamoureux at 28. But maybe we just Seider it and take him at 8.
-
Ill watch it cause subject matter, but these docs usually end being forgetable. >did u hate the avs? >yeah Scene

Gleb loves to play offense. He is the best transition players out there. He loves to recieve the puck in the D zone, carry it through the neutral zone, and carry it into the O zone. No soft dumps in the corner. His instincts and skating allow him to carry pucks through contested areas safely. Once in the O zone he doesnt like to leave without scoring. He creates time and space by protecting the puck, and can pass or shoot. He has easily the best wrister in this draft class. If the D recovers the puck he forechecks hard and effectively to extend his O zone time. This kid absolutely doe not want to play D if he doesnt have to.
