Larkin and Fabbri out. Will Blash sprout his manhood and finally give Pearsgod the 1C spot? I think we throw MAGNUS HELLBERG in tonight. Board rule= you have to all caps that name everytime.

Whatre you studying?

Zadina sucks bro

So Sobotka is suing the Wings for wrongful termination because he has a medical condition (being drunk). But in his defense he peed in a drain... that's pretty much the responsible place to pee if you can't make it the water closet. The lawsuit alleges the bathroom was 60 ft away... that's also pretty close Al. Rumor has it he's done this b4 and the Wings set up a camera to catch him. I fall back on this is pretty much expected of 70 year old Polish men. Too proud to wear a diaper. Too drunk to make it to the toilet. Has anyone seen hamtramck lately? It pretty much is a giant toilet. Let Al drunk drive the zamboni, who cares.

I'm not sure I care. Rasmussen is a more valuable NHLer then and now. I fail to see how Zadina has earned more.

You're spot on. I don't see a scenario where we can afford to keep stop gaps like Staal and Gagner anymore. The cap floor and roster spaces will literally force us to abandon them and spend on someone else. Bertuzzi - Larkin - Raymond Vrana - Suter - Zadina ($2 mil) Fabbri - Rasmussen - Sundqvist Erne - Stepehens ($1 mil) - Gagner ($1 mil) Scratched: Veleno/Smith Oesterle - Seider Staal ($2 mil) - Hronek Walman ($1 mil) - Lindstrom Ned Hellberg ($1 mil) That's a pretty realistic, if not generous, re-signing of our RFA's and Gagner and Staal. And I didn't even put Fabbri on LTIR as he will be. But that team right there is STILL well beneath the cap floor. So we will have to spend on new players, and for that we will need the roster spots. Meaning guys like Gagner got to go unless we want to start waiving other players and force guys like Veleno farther down the depth chart. I just don't see a scenario where we can realistically keep Staal and Gagner on paper, unless SY is going to buy She Weber's contract or something.

I'm more of Danny Gare or Grant Hill guy

RFAs: re-sign: Zadina, Pearson, Stephens, Walman UFAs: re-sign: No one. Maybe Hellberg if he proves he can play. I'm really not so in love with Staal and Gagner as many seem to be. Staal can barely handle 17 minutes a night. He only plays 15 minutes a night of even strength. Walman, DK, and Oesterle are all getting deployed more than that. I think he's a nice vet team dad, but he's an extremely slow skater at this point in his career, and he gets caved in on if he's not playing extremely sheltered minutes. There's just no purpose to keeping him around. Oesterle/Walman/Edvinsson are better served in that 3rd pairing spot. And we cannot in good conscious enter next season expecting Staal to play in the top4. He's got to go. Gagner is a 4th line forward. Again, I'm sure another nice guy, but that 4th line spot is better filled by Berggren, Soderblom, Pearson, Veleno or any UFA. If we want a vet on the 4th line than go add Reaves, Namestnikov, Aston-Reese, Acciari, Deslauriers, someone who will add more elements to this team other than "is serviceable on the PK" Gagner makes Drew Miller look like Maltby. I guess I don't understand the attachment to this new round of washed up vets. Lets sign something more capable for those roles.

Chris has spent almost no money on the Wings since Mike passed. Chris just spent a buncha money on the Tigers. My guess is SY will have about $3.50 in his spending budget this year.

Bertuzzi - Larkin - Raymond Copp - Trocheck - Forsberg

Whoops. I'm just that psyched about Sodabomb.

I agreed with the trade at the time. Can't fault SY for trying it. His ability to find value in trades with the Blues makes it worth it I guess. All we needed was that 2nd. Sunny and Walman are two nice cherries. f*** Nick Leddy though. Shoulda never gave blackhawks money. -
Oh wow, Jakub Vrana is as good as... *Checks notes* "Danny Grant"
-
Zadina has 5 whole primary assists on the season. 2 more is seven. Woah. Elite.

Soderblom and Andreasson are both up for SHL rookie of the year along with Linus Karlsson. Soderblom is about to Seider this forward group.

Nick Leddy, >16 pts in 55 games with the Wings >7 pts in 15 games with the Blues I'd admit I was wrong about him if he wasn't so goddamn awful for us. Guy coasted his entire time here, watching pucks go in. Now he's with Justin Faulk on the 2nd pair and apparently enjoys hockey again. Not sure I've ever seen a more obvious case of "I'm not gonna try so they trade me". Makes you appreciate guys like Marc Staal I guess. -
Everybody sleeping on Ras. Gonna end up being the best pick of the late Holland era lol. Better than Zadina and Veleno and Cholowski I mean.
-
No thank you. I told you all Seider was the best defender in the draft b4 SY even picked him. He's lived up to that hype and then some. Suck me.
-
That's quite a narrative you're telling yourself. Ras was promoted earlier than 99% of prospects, including Zadina. Zadina should have been demoted for this season and last. He's in way over his head. Ras on the other hand is carving out a modest living. I bet you also think Cholowski deserves more than Walman cause ya know experience. Ignore the fact that he can't play.
-
And b4 that Ras had just finished 62 games in the NHL at 18 years old. Ras and Zadina both did 2 seasons previous to today. Why are pretending any different?

How quickly does Greiss get run b4 Hellberg has to come out and stack the pads? Daily face-off shows Veleno as 1C centering Bert and Raymond.

Scotty used to say every coach has a shelf life. Eventually players tune you out. And Scotty jumped from team to team for that very reason. He knew when he was no longer having the desired affect. Babs was here for 10 years. When he left fans were eager to see him go. It was a successful decade but his voice was "stale". Bowman was here for 9. Blash has been here for 7. But Blash also coached these same players in GR, so he's really been here for ELEVEN years. The difference between Bowman/Babs and Blash, is players feared Bowman and Babs. Blash has always been praised as a players pal and good with kids. It shows. I believe it was Chelios or Shanahan who said "you hated Bowman for 364 days a year, but then you won the cup". Of course it comes out later that everyone hated Babs as well. Modano and Commodore felt screwed by him. Franzen and Nyquist hated him. And even talk of Lidstrom lobbying Holland to change coaches. Your not supposed to like your coach. A coach isn't your friend. They're your boss. Your task master. Tis better to be feared then loved. Our players have completely tuned Blash out at this point. I struggle to list any success stories he's had in his 11 year tenure. Fans are chanting fire blashill in the stadium on Easter. McCarty is on YouTube calling for his head. For the love of God I hope SY finally cuts ties with this idiot. We could have run Dan Bylsma or Dave Lewis for the past 7 years and had the same effect. But that's the conspiracy theory isn't it? Jeff is a yes man who does whatever SY wants, so no need to ditch him until SY is ready to go light speed. Which is an even worse look at his coaching. A coach shouldn't be a yes man lil *****. Jeff is going to be remembered as a black eye on this organization. A dark age we joke about in the future. Time to go out and get an actual grown ass man who can men out of these boys. I'm sick of the diaper changing butt wipe agenda.
