Apparently the Pens don't intend on re-signing him this summer, so this is his tryout for the Wings. Of course if he plays too well for the Griffins they can choose to qualify him. He's Slovenian and apparently his idol is Jan Mursak lol. Might be his personal motivation for wanting to switch to Detroit. Free depth prospect. Can't hurt.

In all seriousness, Seider + Eddog is amazing. We should be able to shuffle average players around those 2 for the next 15 years.

Staal, stecher, and Leddy are disgustingly bad. Ned is overworked and failing at this point. Blash is clueless or buried. Play juolevi or anyone

Ned has been awful. Stecher was awful. Leddy was awful. Staal is too slow to make a difference. We will be lucky to get late round picks for staal/stech/leddy.

Smart guys like Seider and Edvinsson will incorporate dumb crap like this into their game quickly. The dumb ones will get brendan smithed eventually.

Hedman was a 20 pt Dman his first 3 seasons. Then a 50 pt Dman for another 4 seasons. Now he flirts with PPG regularly. Hoping Edvinsson doesn't need that long to reach his potential, but it could be that long. Marc doesn't understand how free agency works.

We have possibly not just one Hedman, but two Hedmans. That's a good spot to be in. We're gonna end up spending 25-30 million on our blue alone though lmao.

To be fair to them I think it's actually a good bit of work. You have to watch every play of every game 5 times, over-analyzing each player individually. That's 5 hours of video work for every game. Then you have to present it to everyone and do practices and blah blah blah.

This thread will end up becoming a circle jerk for the two of them rather than a flame war. I do agree Seider is the smarter Dman right now - that's why he's having such an impact in his rookie season. But Ed seems to be a mature and a quick learner as well. I won't be surprised if he duplicates Seider's performance in his rookie season at all. We're extremely lucky to have both players. Together they will be the pillars of the team for the next 15-20 years.

Kyle needs to come out of the closet already

IMO most of these things are too close to call between the two of them to say either has a real advantage. The clear advantage I see with Seider is his physicality and offensive prowess are a head above Edvinsson, and it looks like only the tip of the iceberg for him in those departments. Edvinsson on the other hand might possibly have a super high ceiling. Like Hedman level ceiling. But much like Hedman it might take him 4-7 seasons to get there. I'm not positive he will have the same impact as Seider in his first season.

This isn't a joke "well this is good for us getting Bedard/Wright!" thing anymore. We have seriously talented young players on this team, and this team is taking nights off. Straight giving up on plays. Bowman never let this his teams takes nights off. Say what you want about Babcock, but he never let his teams take nights off like this. Blash is soft. After 7 seaons, I am completely unconvinced he has any specialty in developing young players. Raymond and Seider being uber talented from day 1 is not his development. This team needs a hard-nosed coach that they fear but trust to lead them. Jeffs BS statements about how they all need to be better (including the coaching staff) are a joke. Yzerman needs to can this prick just to send a message to the team that these types of performances are not allowed, and he is willing to take serious action to rectify it. Make Tanguay or Ben Simon interim, I really don't care. Bring back Babcock this summer.
